Fantastic experience on Saturday, We found here after some gluten free trip advisor research. I ordered the coeliac set menu and my boyfriend ordered a selection of tapas dishes, fantastic atmosphere we both loved it. The staff were very well informed on what was gluten free and knew the menu inside out. They took the time to explain their menu,... More

Seriously delicious food, I sampled some of the food at Bloom back in June and finally got to visit the restaurant this weekend. I was not disappointed. Beautiful, fresh food and excellent service. I was nicely full leaving. I will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

Before our visit to Dublin we booked a table for two from the Chameleon website and received email confirmation very promptly. When we got there the booking was there and we were escorted upstairs to our table by a very knowledgeable and polite waiter who explained the menu (masses of choice) and took our order, We had a set menu... Cute, cozy decor and fresh, quality food. My husband and I ordered the vegetarian recommended menu and the seafood one. Variety of tapas-like dishes with interesting condiments. We haven't eaten Indonesian food before but certainly will seek it out in the future. The two recommended menus, one glass of wine and two sodas came to approximately $125CDN.

With a group of four people we tried each of the three set menus. The staff were great at explaining what everything was and the food was delicious. Somethings were spicier than others but nothing was overpowering. The fresh ingredients were complemented by the seasoning and spices. Hard to pick favourites or stand out dishes but the lamb curry and... More

Stopped in on the recommendation of our hotel bartender. The food options include price fixe and tapas items. The choices were plenty and all of the food that we had very good. We had two of the fixe meals and there was more than enough food. Service was good. Prices a little on the high side but we definitely enjoyed... More

I had dinner at Chameleon at the weekend with friends and was not disappointed. The menu was varied with great choices for meat lovers, vegetarians and vegans. We did 2 set menus (2 veg and 2 meat (Java) and this gave us a lot of great food, no sides necessary. The staff and service were great and would definitely visit... More

By all accounts this place has been around for quite a few years which is always a good sign. Quaint and small in size but it has wonderful decor, great service and fantastic food. I can't comment on how true to Indonesian cuisine the food is, but it was delicious. Definetely somewhere I will return to.

Chameleon in Temple Bar is an intimate, ambient restaurant that specialises in Indonesian rice-table. Rice table (or rijst-tafel) is when the diner is served an array of sumptuous different dishes, at the same time, from confit of pork belly with star anise to free range chicken satay to our delicious desserts, all made in-house! Its almost like Indonesian tapas!Since opening in 1994, its owners, husband and wife team, Carol & Kevin have made a point in using as much locally sourced Irish produce as possible, including only using free range Irish chicken and locally caught, seasonal Irish fish.Chameleon is ideal for a romantic get together or indeed, for your birthday party or Christmas party, as they can cater for groups of up to 40 in our private dining rooms.Winning may awards over the years in 2013 the Chameleon was voted Best World Cuisine in Ireland by the highly acclaimed Restaurants Association of Ireland
