Stumbled to this quaint pub and after a few pints of lovely fresh Guinness chose from the food counter which consisted of a selection of ham roasts, traditional stews etc, all very good and served by a jovial chef, no complaints from any of us. In fact makes a change to eat properly in a pub rather than the microwave... More

We visited The Duke on our last day in Ireland and as it turned out we left on a high note. The pub was a great find; the food, drink, and service will be fondly remembered.

A group of us went there recently for food and drinks. The Guinness stout was reasonably good but the Beamish was very poor ( bad head, flat, sour ); is it that little of it is being moved and the pint we got was in the pipes for quite some time? As to the food I had the burger and... More

We had good food and a great cider her for dinner while in Dublin. It was a busy night and the wait staff were over worked. Looked like there were only 2 on and the place was getting busy. Getting drink refills were tough. Never saw such little bottle of Coke. Food was good except for the Chicken burger thing.

Really enjoyed our lunch here. We were at the Archaeology museum and decided to look for place for lunch. We wandered into this pub and were so happy we did. The food was excellent. We had both the roast turkey and the gammon and have never had such tender cuts of meat. This is simple traditional fare done extremely well.... More
