Over the years I have enjoyed many top class meals in this quirky restaurant. I was delighted to discover that they were offering take away through the lockdown but wondered if they could maintain the same fantastic quality. Needn't doubted, every morsel of the prawn...risotto and hake dishes were superb as was the chocolate fondant that we couldn't resist sqeezing in on top of the very generous portions we recieved (with enough leftovers in the meal for 2 for lunch the following day). Just to give an idea of the level of service, we live out of town and on enquiring about the catchment area for delivery, the lovely owner Sean insisted that it would be no problem to drop it to us on the way home as we were on his route! As soon as I heard they were reopen I secured a table for a girls night out for 4 of my friends, each if which raved about the food and were thrilled with being able to bring their own vino. With a very reasonable set price menu and BYO it makes for a lovely excuse to catch up with friends or enjoy a romantic meal like we did last week for my husbands birthday without breaking the bank. Infact the quality and quantity for the price is unrivalled in Dublin. Service is so friendly and genuine, professional but not intrusive or formal. Perfect gap between courses and the menu options leave one dying to go back to try all the other choices. Its such a pity that these guys have had to close once again. The efforts they put in to social distancing and complying with regulations is unreal. Tables separated to the extent that you'd wonder how they could make money with so few seats given the quality of the food. Clearly a lot of money was spent on redoing the restaurant with low seating and high bar seating if you like being part of the busy chef action. Hand sanitiser on every table and all staff wearing masks and keeping their distance while maintaining the intimate service that sets vintage kitchen apart from other places. I felt compelled to write this review as witnessing first hand how hard this place worked to do what was asked of them and guaranteeing such a good experience on every occasion it needs and deserves a special mention and support. Try it out, you won't be disappointed and when they do get to reopen the good news is that with the lack of tourists its actually possible to get a table these days without months of notice!More

For quality food visit The Vintage Kitchen in Dublin Ireland. It's a must part of any trip to Ireland. I had a complementary Bottle of wine on the house. I rated my experience after eating. Will be going there again!.

Knowing that all of the Restauranteurs in Dublin have been suffering since the pandemic we decided last Friday just to head into Dublin city for a drive around to see what might happen and maybe we would have dinner. Took the Tunnel and drove up...Pearse Street with the intention of heading towards College Green. Took a vagary and turned towardMore

This is a tiny place really rocking the vintage vibe. Great pop art on the walls, lovely friendly service ( even behind the big visors!) and the food is exquisite and really reasonably priced. It is also BYOB. The proprietor, the lovely Sean Drugan sometimes...offers tables for donations to charity so this is what we did. We were offered glasses of Prosecco as soon as we sat down and we chose a bottle of Spanish red to accompany our meal. My starter was a seafood spaghetti which was lovely. My husband had a type of whipped goats cheese, sublime. I had beef, succulent and delicious and he had the lamb shank, mouth wateringly falling off the bone gorgeous. I had the chocolate fondant to finish. Cooking is faultless. Well done Sean and team. When we are out of lockdown, we will be back!!!More

Having been here for lunch several times, we decided to have dinner here as the restrictions were eased. We were delighted that it was able to re-open. They have very good social distancing in place, despite its size, and they have made some extra counter...space at one end of the restaurant which helps them. As always, the food was simply superb..... really fresh, cooked expertly with a little twist here and there. The lobster risotto was amazing. Waitress was so lovely, friendly and attentive. This little gem has never disappointed us. We sincerely hope that it gets the support that it deserves. What a great place!More

After hearing many a fantastic report from friends, I finally emailed and confirmed a booking in this restaurant (it has a tendency to be full pre covid, as it is very small) This was a fantastic meal, coupled with a very cool aesthetic (and that...PLAYLIST) and we had a class waitress who was very attentive but in no way intrusive. Could not recommend this little gem more if I triedMore

First visit and first impressions were of a welcoming staff and a cosy atmosphere with chic wall posters and an unobtrusive music playlist that added to the experience. The food was simply delicious, crab and hake dishes were full of flavour while my dining companion...declared her fillet steak was out of this World as was the chocolate dessert. A great value treat that merits another visit soon.More

We had a click and collect meal this evening from the Vintage Kitchen and it was all truly delicious with fabulous service, even though some confusion on the ordering end was all my fault. We have been looking forward to visiting for so long and...finally had a booking for August. This felt like a sneak preview- I certainly hope they can reopen in August and possibly even continue this wonderful take out service too. Would highly recommend- we tried both menus 1 and 6- all gorgeous and perfectly cooked with such generous portions and such nice presentation. With best wishes to them for reopening when the Covid restrictions lift.More

Got the click and collect this evening. Absolutely amazing food with very generous portions, would highly recommend. Such a great way to enjoy their food. We tried a vegetarian and meat menu; both were amazing. Hope they continue to do this until they re-open.
