I generally do not write reviews but this is special. This is the second time I am visiting Damascus Gate this time with friends and family and ordered 4 Meza platters (appetizers for 2) different Main each, we literally came out of the restaurant full of delicious Midle-Eastern food. Meza were amazing, a mix of hummus, falafel, salads (the one... More

This place is excellent. Friendly team, fantastic food, really relaxed environment & inexpensive. If you want fancy this might not be for you, but if you want authentic, fresh, quality food, head over there!

We found this place as it was directly across the road from our hotel room and were craving something different. My mum and I shared a mixed meat plate and a mezze plate which was plenty of food for two. The mezze was by far the best and full of flavor with traditional kebbeh, baba ganoush, hummos and the most... More

This is a great restaurant. We had falafel and stuff vine leaf mezze to start with, then I had the lamb kebab and my wife had a kind of lamb stew (I've forgotten the name). The food was delicious, as it was the last time we came. The staff are genuinely warm and friendly, and very keen that diners enjoy... More

A very unassuming restaurant from the outside but once inside, you are transformed. The service is exceptional, from greeting to the table. Six of us had different tastes, vegan to mammal. All were very pleased with their selection. Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Unable to stay for the belly dancing but that would have been icing on the cake of... More

Been here a couple of times this year. It's quite a nice menu, there's something for everything and they seem to accommodate all sorts of dietary needs, very good for vegans and gluten free etc, just ask if you need anything. The cuisine is great, a menu filled with flavours. BYOB is a bonus too, just a small corkage fee.... More

The road to Damascus surely ends here. Amazing food, gorgeous service and super child friendly. We only in Dublin for 4 days but will definitely come back. Highly recommended

Called in for dinner on my own. My starter, Arayess (flat bread filled with minced lamb and onion then grilled) was very tasty and nice. My chosen "House Special" main was Kibbeh be` Laban (bulgur wheat shells filled with seasoned minced lamb onion and nuts, served with rice and a fresh mint & yoghurt sauce) looked good but was not...
