Go through the plain front door and first unassuming bar of this pub and you will find a lovely large bar and restaurant offering a welcoming atmosphere and very comfortable place to sample the local ales and food. Lots of history on the walls with pictures of celebrity guests and visiting politicians.

Called in pretty late (8pm) for some late night food. Got the steak baguette with chips and peppered sauce. Was reasonably priced at €12. Few pints also, the Guinness was good.

OK if you were going in for a beer and to watch sports - there were 3 bars available. The food though, was not that great, especially for the money. Too expensive.

Decided to lunch here with pals but was v disappointed. We ordered from the carvery and the offer was poor to say the least. Portions were small and we all had to ask for extra veg. Also made the cardinal mistake to order coffees in a bar and once again it was confirmed, pubs / bars should stick to selling... More

We went there for lunch on our arrival in Dublin, recommended by the host of our B&B. It was a very good choice, good food and value for the money.

We were directed here by the concierge of our hotel, and he did us a solid. The building itself is magnificent, the décor perfect and just what was expected. We just wanted a light snack to fend off our jet lag and the buffet was the perfect solution for a few sides of veggies and some chips (French fries). An... More

THE STAFF MAKE IT! Extremely nice!!! It's hard to fault what Fagans do at lunch. It's a carvery lunch no frills but a lovely meal to say the least. Exactly what you want, plenty of food, and a delicious pint! The Smithwicks is the nicest I've had in Dublin! Will be back without a shadow of a doubt!

So we went to another pub first because we were told it had good food, turns out they didn't sell food at all but that bartender and two other guys at that pub said we had to go to Fagan's pub for the best irish food and they were right!!! We both had the best fish & chips ever and... More
