Went for dinner and had a very good flank steak. Indeed one of the best steaks I had! The service was very friendly. Tables could be a little more comfortable, but the experience was informal and cozy. A very nice place indeed. Strongly suggest to millionaire fries... they are unique!

I don't massively get the hype about this place. The actual cuts of meat are really nice but the sauces are a bit lacking. It tends to be very dark and loud in there. It's fine but there are much better places in Dublin to get steak

We have been to Bear in a number of different occasions. Once with a large group, once as a couple and once with a small group of friends. Each time we have had excellent service with very friendly staff. The food is delicious. I particularly like the million dollar fries and the crispy kale!! The steak is always beautifully cooked... This is my third visit to Bear over the years and once again the standard was fantastic! Five of us were booked in on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was fully booked out and the atmosphere was great! The guy who served us was very good and helpful. The food was excellent! We had a steak between the five of... More

Ive been here twice for dinner and really enjoyed it. I loved the interior and atmosphere, great way to start a night out! My steak was cooked perfect and the chips were tasty and fresh. I would highly recommend the lemonades, so refreshing (especially if you upgrade it to an alcoholic one)! The service was quick and reasonably priced for... More

Was excited to visit Bear with a group of girlfriends. Unfortunately the restaurant disappointed on all fronts. Mediocre food, service and drinks! I think Bear works well as a lunch venue but is seriously lacking as an evening venue. The meat is the main event, however, be warned when ordering the 'million dollar fries' side that you may be bent... More

I have been to Bear for lunch and dinner. The lunch deals are amazing, spending 10 euro for a good feed! Steak and chips! Would also recommend one of the sour dough open sambos with steak and chilli jam YUM. Dinner is a little expensive.. Although everything is nice it's not a dinner spot for me.

Avoid lamb ribs unless you want fat and bone. Rest of meals were fine but nothing to rant and rave about. Pints are by the half, luckily we are all hobbits.

I want to start by noting the food here is quite good, and it disappoints me to have to write a negative review. I've eaten in bear many times and would have eaten in there more if it were not for poor management and policies. As a part of the working environment in Dublin, a lot of offices go for... More

We visited with 2 teenagers during a short trip to Dublin. The restaurant was buzzy without being overpoweringly busy. The food was tasty and my only complaint was that the waiter was unable to add or omit anything to dishes as "I can't do it on the computer" this allowed him and us no flexibility. That said the steak was... More
