Weird cuts of meat, terrible menu, minimal staff, poor service, we should have walked out after looking at the menu. Do not understand why they are in business. The worst food I've ever had. Literally could not cut my meat with a knife, I needed a saw! Do not even consider this place.

Food is over priced for what it is. Had a feather blade steak, so disappointed it was the fattiest cut of beef I have ever had. Fries were really oily. Staff were super ignorant, especially when it came to paying them. We are paying your wage guys don't forget that!

Went to Bear since we saw it at Anthony Bourdain's show. Meats were cooked well but you'll want to be adventurous since they have unusual cuts of meats. I got the rosary cut off the ribs. Love that it's fatty and a little chewy. But that's me. The sides were great too. Got the spinach with garlic and a Friend... More

Booked a table here via phone for two couples. No hassle with reserving a table at all. Arrived and we're seated immediately. Drinks arrived promptly. Between us we ordered two of the sharing steak which were cooked to perfection. It's great when you can see the two steaks beside each other and noticeably see the difference between medium rare and... More

I've been there numerous of times. I usually go when I'm dreaming with steak as I don't eat red meat very often. I do appreciate the quality of the meat they serve. There was only one occasion that the meat was very chewy and tasteless but all the other one it was very good overall. Highs: I highly recommend the... More

Fantastic steak-w ordered the bavette; it was perfectly cooked, full of flavour, not too tough and it would comfortably have fed three. The millionaire fries were crisp, rich and delicious and the green salad was pretty good. It was great value and I'll happily return. If you like a well done fillet steak you'd best stay clear though.

Food was ok not bad, not great. But the service was bizarre!! I was there for brunch the waiter couldn't explain anything about the menu at first I thought he was shy after I came to the conclusion that they couldn't care less! I ordered a Prosecco cocktail that tasted a disgusting cheap liquor and had no Prosecco with a... More

We take meatlovers visiting us in Dublin to Bear. It's a laid-back, hip restaurant with cuts of meat you don't find everywhere. I would recommend the Onglet (good for 2) or Bavette (good for 2-3) with million dollar fries. They have a few really nice butters that I recommend getting with your steak. To be honest we never take a... More

Went for the second with my friends and was completely disappointed. First we ordered a prawn with sweet potato cake, I hate spice food and in the menu they don't say the spiciness level, but it felt like a volcano in my mouth. Wr ordered a glass of white wine but the wine wasn't good at all. The main course... More
