I decided to visit Dublin during my b-day weekend and I love meat! I decided to have dinner at Bear (because Anthony Bourdain loved it) and I had a wonderful birthday celebration with just the best cuts! it is a small restaurant and its trendy, cute servers and great attendance. I super recommend it if you are visiting or if... More

very good choice of meat even some cuts you would not find easily on a restaurant but cooked to perfection with lovely sauces. Nice starter and good idea for the wine served off Jugs.

Nothing as bad as a moody waitress who guides you to a seat near the back of a restaurant when the majority of the premises is empty. It seems to be a thing with a lot of Temple Bar restaurants to locate the younger clients in or near a window and put the older clients down the back. While waiting... More

Went here with a number of friends for dinner after hearing it specializes in steak so we knew what we were getting in advance. Upon arrival we had reserved a table which was great, when we were shown to the table I was a bit surprised that all tables are high and with very uncomfortable stools. This is fine for... More

I have attended bear a number of times through the years always great food and good cocktails. Definite spot for a good meal before going out as well as a great spot for post work dinner. Staff are great and always ready to give advice on what to have and what way to have your cuts of meat. Never had... More

Excellent steaks. Excellent chips. Cool surroundings. Not too expensive. Very clean, nice staff and great wine. Quick service. Definitely worth a visit.

We were seated opposite the kitchen, which I always like! However, we just chilled and had a drink before ordering any food. I liked the bar, I liked the decor, it was Friday evening, 7ish...and there were quite a few tables occupied. We weren't by any means starving as we had gorged ourselves on sushi earlier in the day. I... More

We decided to go for a meal with some friends who had visited this restaurant previously and had been very happy with the food so my expectations were set! On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our seats, first impressions were of a very comfortable and casual atmosphere and I was happy to be offered a... More
