I cannot review Matt The Threshers highly enough. From the beautiful food, to the wonderful staff, the lovely setting, delightful restaurant etc. We went to celebrate my 30th Birthday, our waiter was beyond accommodating, the food was delightful. We got seated in the downstairs area, a table of 14 of us on our own. The restaurant really is super. I... More

I came in solo and sat at the bar. The bar staff couldn't have been nicer and the food was great on a rainy evening!

We had a massive buffet breakfast so admittedly we were not very hungry. The staff was polite and knowledgeable. We both had the hake with potatoes and vegetable. It was good not great as seasonings was a tad plain. The atmosphere was friendly and would recommend this establishment to any one with a desire for fresh seafood. The pricing was... More

We happened upon this pub on a Friday night without reservations. The owner had us (four of us) sit at the bar (which was very nice) and within 10 minutes had a table for us. The seafood was awesome and the atmosphere was comfortable for couples and families. I highly recommend this pub.

We walked in without a reservation and the manager - Tom - was very willing to help us, got us seats at the bar while he arranged a table for 4 upstairs. Our waiter was funny, service was quick and the food was excellent. Going back in 2 weeks with a group for a work dinner.

After reading the reviews on trip advisor I booked a table for 10 for a family trip to Dublin, with relatives we hadn't seen in years and a family birthday. I had purposefully chose a restaurant that would be perfect for a celebration. However, I was disappointed. After waiting a huge TWO HOURS for our mains, we were told they... More

Delicious Fresh Trout and fabulous staff, could recommend some lighter desserts or perhaps serve a small piece of dark chocolate with coffee :-)
