This is an awesome place to have lunch in Dublin. It seems a bit up market and I felt a little under dressed however no one seemed to mind. The oysters and Chowder were fantastic and so was the steak. Staff were great

Great grub great atmosphere good prices. We all enjoyed a really good lunch with a varied and excellent menu. Though the pub was full the service was friendly and fast.

it is a wonderful restaurant, nice live piano music. We met there with some friends, great to stay the whole evening, chatting and having a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.

First class fish, great atmosphere, we got a very friendly reception and the waiting staff were great too. A very lively place on a Friday night, quite a buzz so if you don't like a lot of noise bring earplugs. But the best part was the fish. Best plaice I've had I think. And not overly expensive either. Thoroughly enjoyed... More

Two friends and myself visited Matt the Threshers and were delighted that we had chosen this restaurant. The place was packed( rugby international weekend), so we had a short wait. All three of us enjoyed the meal, I had a Sirloin steak which was one of the best steaks I have had in years, my mouth is starting to water,... More

We were lucky to reserve a table here for 8 for dinner on Friday night. The owner was so nice as we had to change the number of people several times. Had a large but cozy table down the stairs from the bar in a library inspired room. Fresh fish was excellent (my husband claimed his monkfish the best he... More

Matt The Thresher is a big "local" spot with a great menu selection. I am partial to mussels, so I often have them when I dine there. Great seafood in general!!! It's very close to my favorite hotel in Dublin, so I go often. I recommend Matt The Thresher highly.
