Yesterday morning we had took a walk and found this cafe, didn't know what to expect but looked at the reviews on TripAdvisor so decided to give it a go, we were very impressed how busy it was at first so thought it must be good, we were not disappointed, the food was fab and for value it was excellent... This cafe sits on top of a shop with lots of Irish product so both are worth visiting. The quality of the food was fantastic but as some other reviewers have noted, the space is somewhat odd. A large room with seats and tables very close together and a variety of food stations so you have to work at getting... More

Went for lunch 11th Jan very disappointed this time around. Very busy and noisy took ages to get served and pay at different food stations and by the time we got cutlery etc and eventually got a seat our food was cold. Not customer friendly or a relaxing experience. What a shame as food was delicious and lots of variety... More

I went for lunch after finishing the first part of my tour, and had a stew with vegetables, the apricot pastry and a coffee. All of it was good, but I would say it's really known for its pastries. Everything is made fresh daily and the variety and portion is great. I would highly recommend a visit.

I make a tradition of having breakfast here with my family every Christmas Eve. The staff are truly a credit to their employers - friendly and welcoming! The breakfast itself is great value and the quality is excellent. I've also been here for lunch and my experiences have always been good - very reliable, friendly, unpretentious and good value.

Kilkenny Cafe above the Kilkenny store near the heart of Dublin is a real find for a non-fussy, great value meal. This is a cafeteria style restaurant with an especially good deal for breakfast. The breakfast deal literally can't be beat anywhere in Dublin and you see plenty of regulars in there at breakfast time. The food is not exciting... More

Large busy restaurant on the first floor of a department store. Centrally located just of Grafton Street, the main pedestrianised shopping street. Self service buffet with an enormous choice of starters, mains, deserts and cakes. Very busy at lunchtime but quite later in the afternoon.
