We Pre booked while in the UK, as we have been before and loved it so wanted to make sure we had a table! We were kindly greeted with complimentary prosecco which was a lovely touch. There are guest ales (I had the whisky cask cider) and wines, as well as a cocktail of the month which I went for,... More

Easy to find something on menu, lots of wines by the glass so you can taste what you are ordering in many cases, good specials, delightful service, good location, great pub downstairs for pre or post dinner drinks! Oh and they keep their prices at a reasonable level. It will be a good night out if you go!

Really good dinner with the family at The Sussex! Everyone really enjoyed their dishes. I had the fish and chips and it was delicious! We visited the restaurant because it was located across the street from our hotel. Happy we did since it's a great spot!

We walked in without a reservation But it was early and they were able to seat us at a nice table. We had seafood chowder, served with brown bread, and the fish of the day Returned twice more in the same week, to eat more of their lovely fish in various forms. (Smoked salmon with beetroot, smoked haddock pie). We... More

Nice portions & staff couldn't have been nicer. I had fish 'n chips, & they made me iced tea due to the rare heat wave. Mid-priced but service exceeded expectations.

We came to the restaurant for an early dinner, and they had plenty of space for us. The entrance was a bit hard to find with the bar below and multiple rooms, but we found the stairs after being directed by a bartender. We started with cured salmon, which was definitely different and good. For our main course, we had... More

Atmosphere was nice. They seated us without a reservation. The Shepherd's Pie was delicious. The starter wings were really good too. Everyone in our party of six enjoyed their meals and drinks.

Called in here on Saturday night after a full days sightseeing. It was 2 mins walk from our guesthouse Leeson Bridge and had some great reviews. We didn't have a reservation but were seated quickly near the window. Tap water was served for free and some gorgeous bread. We both had seafood chowder and the cottage pie. They were excellent... We had a great lunch of Shephard's Pie in a quaint environment. The restaurant is located above O'Brien's. There was a lunch menu. We arrived a little after noon and were early diners. Most of the others who came in at lunch looked like locals. The rest cleared out in about an hour but we sat and talked and never... More
