My friendly recently brought me here for a late lunch one Saturday. This little gem in the heart of Glasthule / Sandycove village is a brilliant find. The staff are really helpful and friendly and the setting is very rustic. It's the perfect setting for a girlie lunch. We opted for the very reasonably priced Meat Plate €12.60 and boy... More

This is a great place to meet for morning coffe or brunch lunch etc. Lovely savoury morsels olives to die for. Soups with a twist all beautifully presented. Then walk it off along the seafront.

This is a wine bar in the heart of Glasthule. It is located in a wine shop. Seating can be difficult to get, but well worth while. There is a great selection of wines (it is a wine shop!!) to have - either by the glass or by the bottle. In addition there is a great variety of cold meat,... More

Thank you Philip, and especially for mentioning the wine selection. It never ceases to amaze me that some people seem to miss the wine selection that we put our heart and soul into collecting. Say hello the next day you are in. Gerard More

64 Wine is a brilliant wine shop with a wonderful casual dining and wine bar element which takes on a life of its own come evening time . Lovely light dishes and choice wines make for a perfect combination to accompany conversation over lunch or supporting an end of day glass or two - wifi is dismissed as superfluous in... More

Thank you Sean for taking the time with your comments. I am delighted to read your observations and it will give all the staff a boost. You are kind to note our policy on WIFI. My view is that it is killing social interaction. The first thing my two girls ask wherever they go.....'What's the wifi code?' None in 64!!!... More

Love the food here, amazing olives, dips, wine, coffee - have only ever had lunch here but have always enjoyed it. The staff are fun and it's a busy place so sometimes you have to wait a little for service but it's worth it.

I know people go here for the wine, but i think they do a mean cappuccino also. Whoever writes up their notice boards has a dry sense of humour. Delicious scones and really nice Italian (i think) waiter, who will make you feel really welcome.

Seems at first glance that this place is just a Delicatessen, but no - there are tables at the back of the food hall with a view of the extensive wine selection. The food we chose was on sharing plates (wooden boards) and was delicious. The vegetarian duo had the veggie platter - with stuffed tomatoes, artichoke, olives and peppers.... More

I enjoyed the lunchtime sandwiches. In the afternoon the range of snacks is limited - i.e. sold out. The seating can be a bit cramped and there is a bottleneck around the till area
