Dropped in for a pint and a glass of wine. Asked for a guinness and a sav blanc. Got charged 9.60 for a small glass of sav blanc, the most expensive one on the menu, except it wasn't, was served the cheapest one. Once challenged, the overly attentive waiter confessed that he hit the wrong button and reimbursed the 2.60.... More

So pleased we carried on walking around what we now know as the purple district of Dublin. We came upon this fantastic gastro pub just as the shutters were opening at midday. We had a lovely welcome and the food was to die for and so reasonable at €10 each for a huge meal of burger and chips & half... More

Went here for on a Wednesday evening for a casual business dinner and it was perfect for what we needed. Relaxed environment that wasn't too noisy, good food, and attentive but discrete staff.

We were overcharged for brunch. We were all charged €15 for prosecco to a total of €60 which we didn't order or ask for. We explained this but were given no option but to pay. Extremely rude service. Took a while for food to arrived then we were rushed out with my meal half eaten. Very disappointing experience and expensive... More

Had been coming here on a regular basis, but on last number of occasions my experience has gone really downhill. Visited this evening and my wife waited over 15 minutes at the bar for a cocktail to be made from the point of taking the order.at one point the bar man walked from the bar for over 5 minutes without... I was there on Friday evening with my latest lady friend. I ordered the duck (€24) and the lady had the cod with pasta (€22). The duck had a nice flavour but it was quite dry. A chef who dries out duck is not exactly at the top of his game. The lady's pasta was very bland, really lacking any... More

Good location, neat layout with plenty of nooks & crannies, so fitted the bill perfectly for a few drinks before heading off to a nearby restaurant. However, the waitress who served our group was so bordering on hostile, she could have done with a good lash of the mistletoe. None of us had any idea what was biting her, and... More

We had a couple of drinks here after Christmas shopping. The first thing that hit us when we arrived was the beautiful smell of mulled wine and then we noticed the gorgeous Christmas decorations. We were lucky enough to get a seat in the window and happily spent a few hours people watching and soaking up the festive atmosphere.

If you like cocktails, the Exchequer is for you! I love to stop in for one or two on a night out. The key lime meringue pie cocktail is to die for, a dessert in a glass (super sticky, but worth it!). Love the tiki-rex, very tropical. And the coco cobbler very good too. Infact I'll have to work my... More
