Café 1920 opened its doors in August 2018. Superb location at 10 Westmoreland Street at the heart of the City. Just around the corner is Temple Bar, Trinity College and Grafton Street for pedestrianised shopping. Food is served all day, drop in for lunch, a coffee, cocktail or dinner as your day allows.

Looks can be deceiving...
From the outside it looks like quite an exclusive bar/restaurant and it is decorated and furnished in a plush way but actually, it was really comfortable, friendly and the food very reasonably priced.
Great for a quick bite to eat. We had a couple of items from the sandwich menu; a club sandwich and a cheese toastie with some fries to share.
Only disappointment was that several menu items were unavailable.
Staff very attentive and a peaceful atmosphere.

Nice little bar and restaurant with friendly staff and ambiance. Unfortunately the food was very average. I had the salmon as main course which did not have a great taste and the cheesecake for dessert tasted like something from the frozen food section of a supermarket. If they improve the food quality it would be a good recommendation but as is the experience was average.

The food was divine, exceptional flavours and presentation was of such a high standard, staff really pleasant. Quaint setting.
BUT we had no presentation of our Temprinallo wine, Certainly not poured for tasting or topped up throughout the night, as we poured our own.
Not once were we asked about how our starters/ main meals were!
Basic service , especially given our lovely surroundings. Shame!

The food was good and I thoroughly enjoyed it however I won't be back. We waited 10 minutes to be served on our lunch hour even though there were maybe 5 other filled tables, not busy considering lunch in Dublin.
Food was slow but as I said quite nice so didn't mind. Then we finished and kept trying to call someone for the bill, our table was ignored and the one beside us had their order. 20 minutes later I went up to ask for the bill and for my food to be wrapped as I had to be back at work. Still nothing and then another waitress came over. When asked for the food to be wrapped she said she would bring over tinfoil. I had to wrap it myself which I usually don't mind but this is a very pricey cafe. Asked for the bill, 10 minutes still nothing until I went to the counter again.
I should have read reviews first, won't be back. Only stars are for good food.

It was quiet at 8 and empty at 8.30. That's probably all you need know. When the Charcuterie board arrived with no parma ham and the other items looking like they'd just been unpacked from Tescos we thought this might be a problem. We spotted the lack of the main item and were told the parma ham had run out - so why weren't we told that before the plate arrived? Maybe just hoped we wouldn't notice? The rest of the evening went downhill from here. The ribeye steaks were poor - we left most of both because they were tasteless and tough - but the staff seemed unbothered. We were done by 9 and pleased to leave ...an empty restaurant. It's a shame because the location and decor are fab.

Four people ordered three steaks at exactly 7.10pm. The food arrives at 8.05pm and both the steak and chips were cold. The steak was tiny and there was a really small amount of chips. We got about 10% taken off our bill after we complained. Each steak was €33.

On Friday 18th: I visited during my stay in Dublin. We absolutely loved the decor / atmosphere and were warmly greeted by Julie. She and Eren looked after us so well. We had wine and lunch plus delicious Irish coffee. We were 100% going to return the next day as the service, drinks, food basically everything was great. Chilled there for quite a few hours and spent well over 100€ plus tip.
We returned on Saturday 19th: WOW what a totally opposite experience. We were not welcomed and wanted to have a glass of wine and an Irish coffee. We were told they needed ALL the tables (despite most of the tables being empty). I enquired what time the table was needed so we could leave before then. We were only staying for a couple of drinks. The waitress - an Eastern European woman - (not our lovely French waitress Julie) WAS SO RUDE TO US!! She proceeded to move the tables together and rearrange the restaurant. Then another manager came and put the tables back (?) it was farcical. She was huffing and puffing making it known she was not happy about us staying. After our glass of wine I went up to the bar to order our Irish coffees. At which point the other waiter then proceeded to mumble at me. I asked if the Irish coffee was not available, to which he replied “you know, we need the tables” so I’m like are you saying you are not going to serve me? This just infuriated me so paid for our wine and left.
Such shame as I had given 5 start on google for this the day before. I would return but would check who is working. I know the location is very touristy but there’s no reason to be rude and unwelcoming. It also goes to show that staff can make or break an experience!

Lovely little hidden gem. Came across it by accident.
Food - ordered reguar portion salad which was more than enough and tasted delicious.
Service- very polished and polite.
Price - good value.
Would recommend.

We came here for dinner on our first night and the food was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately the service was lacking even though there was only two tables as well as us. If you have time to wait for the food and aren't in a rush I highly recommend this place as it has top quality food.

Was very quiet and didn’t see many reviews so was a bit hesitant, but I have no idea why! Absolutely lovely restaurant! The interior is beautiful and the staff were friendly. It appeared to be a very fancy restaurant so was shocked by the reasonable prices! The food came out and was delicious, I had the arabiatta and then a salted caramel brownie. Only thing that let it down a bit was the size of the brownie, but it was very tasty and a very good experience. Would definitely recommend.

This restaurant is in a great location. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and the service throughout was excellent. We ordered from the pre-lunch menu; I had the breakfast roll and my friend had the poached eggs and smoked salmon. Both dishes were utterly delicious! Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Came in for a coffee but wished we hadn't, the service was really slow, and the coffee was awful.
The one upside is that the tap water they give you for the table is nice - infused with lemons.
Won't be back though.

After walking around Dublin for the day. Feeling tired and need to look for a restaurant for dinner. Came across this restaurant and the menu displayed outside looks good for us. We went in and order our food and drinks. The drinks came fast but the food took quite a long time to arrive. We have no problems waiting for the food as we need some sit down rest and we need to wait for our bus anyway.
Food and drink are of good qualities. Staff are polite and professional. Prices are also acceptable to our budget.

My favourite spot for drinks! The bartenders are incredible, making cocktails even matching my mood! I love the Chatty Manager Paddy! The whole team behind the bar always makes my day!

We were staying near here and just wanted something lite to snack on. We stopped in here and ordered the Charcuterie tray and another app. Both were excellent and the service was great. We also had a couple drinks. Prices were very reasonable.
