We were up in Dublin visiting our Daughter and she suggested that we go to The Gravedigger for a meal that evening. She mentioned that they do a mean coddle but that this is usually on the lunch menu rather than in the evening but... The pub is right beside what I would call the back entrance to Glanevin cemetery... More

Called into the pub after our tour of Glasnevin. This is a beautiful old style pub, great pint of Guinness at a reasonable price. Will be calling back again to sample the food and the atmosphere.

This place is a little difficult to find but well worth the search. We walked over from the metro hotel parentheses 2.2 miles and parentheses and cut through the beautiful botanical gardens. It's actually to Bob's. The one on the left is very old and very authentic. We had it on a sunny day and the locals would get beer... More

This place has no TV, no WIFI, no radio...... and that's exactly why I love it! If you want somewhere serving a great pint of Guinness and great atmosphere, then get yourself to The Gravediggers. From Ciaran's superb Coddle to Ann's delicious homemade deserts, you'll not find a better pub within a 100 miles of this place! Highly recommended for... More

This is a great pub, and the fact that it serves VERY good food is a serious bonus. 5 of us went there last night - for drinks and tapas. The Guinness was good, and one of the group was nicely surprised to see there was a gluten-free beer on the menu, which got the thumbs up from him. As... More

If you want a glimpse into an old pub this is the place to go. Great atmosphere and great food. You wouldn't expect tapas in a pub but they do it well - the Irish egg rolls were delicious. And you have to try the world famous coddle - it wasn't on the menu but ask for it and they... More
