We came here in search of an honest Irish experience and were thrilled to find great food and a great pint of Guinness. WARNING: THEY only take cash.....we had to walk up the street about 5 minutes to an ATM but weren't going to miss our chance because of a little inconvenience. Friendly vibe.

This famous Dublin hostillary is a must for anyone visiting the city. The service is quick and efficient but it is the tapas that star of the show. Its great food and i paricularly recommend the fish cakes and fried halloumi cheese. The bar is a traditional irish bar with no tv, no music - just chat. Only quibble is... More

Hi there We are delighted you enjoyed your time with us, we will check up on the wine issue as although we serve a small selection of wine by the glass it's the same in the Bar as the Lounge? So we'll look into that hopefully on your next visit you'll stay for more. Our Tapas are served in the... More

I was fortunate to visit this lovely pub twice during my recent visit to Dublin. The first visit I stayed on the bar side of the pub. As a solo traveler, I was delighted to find the staff and patrons to be very friendly and engaging. The Guiness was poured with care and was outstanding. (I had heard that Gravediggers... More

We pride ourselves on serving a good product at good value, something the Kavanagh family have been doing for over seven generations since 1833, this pub from the era of The Sailor King is a no nonsense workingman's bar. I went to this pub after it being recommended to me from a bartender in the hotel I was staying in and he hyped it up to be one of if not the best bar in Ireland and I have to say he was not wrong. The feel of walking into the bar is something special you just can't explain... More

When we stopped in for a drink after our tour. We felt like we belonged there. Everyone was friendly. There were three dogs in the pub and no one seemed to care. This pub is near Glasnevin Cemetery Museum. If you visit Glasnevin Museum, then stop in for a pint of Guinness.

Nice selection of well priced tapas in the lounge. Warm quaint little pub with great staff and full of atmosphere. It's well worth a visit. Tapas may sound like a strange offering in such a traditional style pub but it works because the atmosphere is so chill

We stopped by on a rainy day for some food and beers but they were done serving food for the day so we sat and enjoyed a couple of cold beers. It's very much a locals bar but the bartender was very nice to us. It wasn't a loud rowdy place, even though I'm sure it's very lively when it... More

If there is a pub with friendlier staff, better value food and old worldy charm I'd like to hear about it. No noise from any electrical source and excellent pints of Guinness. There is a heaven !

Hi Joe Thanks so much we are pretty old school and plan to keep it that way. We are delighted that you understand the way we work, good service, good product, good value. Although it seems with each good review on TA we are further down the list? Must be an 'algorithm' Thanks again we do believe in #heaveninglasnevin. Lunch... More
