We stopped by for lunch and a Guinness during our Hop on/off bus tour. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. Lunch was very good, with sandwiches/paninis/wraps, etc. The interior is lovely and a true remnant of by gone days. Prices were reasonable.

An old building with interesting decor, nice music and good vibe. Small menu, we had the chicken stew which was delicious but the beef pie was just average. Service was quite shocking. After waiting 15 mins for a waitress to decide to serve us she rocked up and declared she was shattered - it had been a hellish busy day-... More

It's good but the service doesn't rise to the reputation. We basically had to tackle our waitress to get her attention and this was at 2 in the afternoon with zero people there for the most part. I'd go to elsewhere, such as Fleet St or in that area.

This pub was close to our hotel and we met family there. The food was very good with a good variety of dishes on the menu and the food came quickly. We then returned in the evening to meet more family and there was live music on the bar, although the room was too small and we couldn't get seated.... More

Went there for lunch one afternoon and waited 20-30 minutes until our presence was acknowledged by a waitress. They seemed understaffed for the lunch hour, but the patrons (who arrived shortly after us) under the care of the other waiter on staff were acknowledged, had their orders taken, and were served before we had our orders taken. It took a... More

Went there for lunch. The service was slow and the food was bland. The bar area is great and the place is really nice, but better for a drink than a meal

We stayed at the Ashling which is just down the street and walked here for dinner. It wasn't too crowded because I think it was a Sunday or Monday night. Waiter was very nice and recommended the chicken/beer stew (I can't remember the actual name). It was really good. The rest of my family was happy with their meals as... More

I ate here today and I just wouldn't recommend it at all. I got the sizzling chicken. It wasnt sizzling. The chicken was fine in it but there was no flavour what so ever in the veg. No sauce, it was pure greasy and the peppers we're cut so big they wernt fully cut. I had to ask the waitress... More

Being completely honest, I wasn't expecting too much when we entered the bar. Assumed it would just be usual average pub grub. We ordered two burgers and I have to say it was one of the nicest I've ever had...and I've had quite a few!! :P Service was very good and the food arrived quickly. Ideal to visit just before...
