Frankly, we dined at The Pig's Ear based on the reviews we read on TripAdvisor. We were not as impressed as most. The service was very slow, and our waiter was not very attentive or personable. It took an hour and 45 minutes for two courses, and it took over 15 minutes for him to being the check after we... More

We spent a week in Dublin, eating mostly in pubs which was great, but wanted a nice restaurant experience before leaving and chose this place. What a great decision! They fit us in even though we didn't have a reservation, it's q small place with maybe seating for 20-25. What an amazing menu. My wife had the Irish beef tartare... More

Fantastic restaurant with a great variety of dishes to choose from. The menu changes regularly but you can be assured that there will be a chicken and duck dishes which we usually go for. Desert time is my favourite - the upside down cheese jars are AMAZING!!

Delighted to be able to get a table pretty late in the day for four of us on a Thursday night, but this place is really excellent and I'm delighted they could take us, because it was very busy. I had the tartare followed by cod... oh yum. Love the place, great service, unfussy/uncomplicated, the pricing is well thought out,... More

We ate here on 13th August for my husbands 40th birthday whilst we were in Dublin for the weekend. Food was delicious and for a special occasion it was reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere, very tasty prosecco and attentive staff. They even brought our pudding (cheesecake in a jar!) with a candle in as it we were celebrating my husband's birthday.... More

Firstly the positives, staff are good and were friendly and attentive. It is also a nice setting. Had a crab to start which was good but that is where it ended. Main course had some good elements but the main part, the cod was tasteless and oily. In fairness, I wasn't going to say but the server saw that I... More

Terrible dining experience As a treat we booked The Pigs Ear for my Fiancé birthday! When we arrived we where seated beside the window and had a beautiful view of Trinity, so I was really looking forward to what was to come! I was in for a disappointment, It was a hot day but we thought like most places, the... More

This was an incredible edible culinary journey! From beginning breads to exquisite dessert, it was all perfectly great! The wines were reasonably priced. Service was prompt, but never hurried.

After a disappointing meal at Howth Harbour last night my friend and I travelled into Dublin centre for the first time. We had no recommendations for where to eat but as soon as I spotted The Pig's Ear and read the menu, we knew we wouldn't be disappointed. We were immediately made to feel welcome and sat at a table... More
