This is a 5 story restaurant, with a different room on each half floor a really unique setting you'd not normally find in the states. The food was local, but I'd say "Fancy local"- the venison was the best I've ever had in my life (and I'm from the midwest where a lot of venison can be found!) The only... More

Restaurant overlooks Trinity college and just a few steps away from Grafton street. Casual atmosphere with wooden tables, simple table settings, fireplace in the corner and candle light. There are 2 floors and we were lucky to get on 2nd floor where it was less busy comparing to buzzing first floor. Space is not very large, so when restaurant gets... More

I ate here twice, and the food is amazing! The quality is really good and the atmosphere is pleasant. Good service, and decently priced.

We were a group of 8 dining at Pig's Ear. we ordered a la Carte and the service was fast and the food was very good. This is a a small and popular restaurant so you must book a table, but it is worth it. Only problem is it is normally rather full and it can be a bit noisy.... More

I visited this restaurant on Friday evening with my brother and sister-in-law. What a let down. Small cramped space. No room between the tables. The room was bare no curtains, no carpets uncomfortable chairs and miniscule tables. The noise rebounded off the walls. The food was just okay, but overpriced. We spent just short of 100.00 pounds on three main... More

Eight of us had an early dinner here over the weekend. The mackerel starters were so minuscule that we looked at it with shock. The pork belly croquettes were good and didn't disappoint. Goats cheese was also a small serving but was reported to be of good quality. Main course chicken got a decent response but the cod was a... More

The Pig's Ear has been on our radar for years and we finally managed to have a delicious dinner at the restaurant. The Tartare of Wild Irish Game Venison perfectly worked out with the smoked cheddar. The pickled onions brought a nice sourish touch to the dish. The freshness of the Dillisk cured Irish Seatrout with the cucumber and apple... More

I went here with family on a Thursday night after some retail therapy. It's just beside Kilkenny Design which is very handy. The atmosphere was good, staff were amazingly attentive to our needs and my sister who is coeliac was very impressed with how they catered for her needs. The food was beautifully presented and service was excellent. A minor... More

The Pig's Ear is some place you go if you like your food. They utlise less popular cuts such as beef cheek to good effect. The service is friendly and efficient. The wine list reasonable. The Irish coffee is very good for afters. It is best to book in advance as it is very popular

...when we started eating our starters, hmmmm, really, really good food. The venue is simple, with great pictures throughout decorating the walls. The menu is traditionally, yet modern, Irish and comforting. We had roast carrot & goats cheese, crab and the terrine. Beautiful. Mains were trout, cod, beef cheek and pork belly, all thoroughly enjoyed. A highlight was the side... More
