I was very excited at the thought of going to this restaurant as I had heard great things about it. However from the moment we entered the restaurant I was disappointed. The greeting at the door was lack lustre, we were then shown to our table which was wedged in between other diners - I heard more of the conversation... More

I had a simply lovely meal here last Monday. They obviously have very good chefs. This is not just clear from the quality of the cooking and presentation but also, quite markedly, from the excellence of the raw materials they choose and source. The waiter was friendly and, given how busy the dining room was, also efficient. Initially it was a tiny bit slow... More

On reflection, I would have preferred to walk down the road and had a truly memorable meal in Thornton's for the same price.

Came here recently to celebrate a birthday and wasn't disappointed. Booked in for the pre theatre menu which has a choice of 5-6 items per course and is €30 per person. Really delicious food served beautifully. Service and staff are wonderful, made to feel very welcome from the moment we came in. Would highly recommend the fish and chips- absolutely... More

First visit 7.4.16. The Cliff Townhouse is situated across the street from Stephen's Green. A late lunch here proved to be very good. The halibut and the cod were good, the tomato salad very good. The only disappointment was lobster bisque, which was totally bereft of seafood. Service at lunch was very good. We returned a second time for dinner... More

Went here for dinner based on our guides advice. The dinner service only opens at 6:00 PM and you will need a reservation. Staff service and food are both excellent. There is a good selection of entrees, enough to suite most tastes. Wine choice at a reasonable cost is limited to essentially European. Location is close to St.Stephens Park, so... More

Located on St. Stephen's Green, this excellent restaurant specializes in well-prepared and beautifully presented, fresh seafood. Highlights are Galway Bay Oysters on the half shell, Oysters Rockefeller, Baby Squid stuffed with Chorizo and Feta, and Sautéed Black Sole on the Bone, pan-fried.

Not my first visit to the Cliff Townhouse, Dublins best seafood restaurant, in my honest opinion. We had wild mussels, lobsters and sole washed down with a great value Loire White. What's not to like ? I Highly recommend !

We were staying at the merrion and decided not to eat in hotel. Hotel was nice enough to call over and get reservation last minute. It was just five minute walk. The oysters were incredible. The fish very delicious. Everything was great. Must try if you are in Dublin. They also had nice cocktails.

We had high expectation for the seafood at Cliff after trying a few other places in Dublin. However it fell short for the value. As a seafood lover, seafood that we got, oyster, scallop, seafood tower (cold), and lobster bisque. All the seafood taste blend and lack at taste of sweetness and freshness. A dive place like "Klaw" had better... More
