Located on St. Stephen's Green, this excellent restaurant specializes in well-prepared and beautifully presented, fresh seafood. Highlights are Galway Bay Oysters on the half shell, Oysters Rockefeller, Baby Squid stuffed with Chorizo and Feta, and Sautéed Black Sole on the Bone, pan-fried.

Not my first visit to the Cliff Townhouse, Dublins best seafood restaurant, in my honest opinion. We had wild mussels, lobsters and sole washed down with a great value Loire White. What's not to like ? I Highly recommend !

We were staying at the merrion and decided not to eat in hotel. Hotel was nice enough to call over and get reservation last minute. It was just five minute walk. The oysters were incredible. The fish very delicious. Everything was great. Must try if you are in Dublin. They also had nice cocktails.

We had high expectation for the seafood at Cliff after trying a few other places in Dublin. However it fell short for the value. As a seafood lover, seafood that we got, oyster, scallop, seafood tower (cold), and lobster bisque. All the seafood taste blend and lack at taste of sweetness and freshness. A dive place like "Klaw" had better... More

Went here on a business dinner, the place is very nice, well decorated. I had the fish pie and it was good but wasnt the best pie I ever had. Over all it was an enjoyable evening.

My family and I dined here on a Sunday afternoon and it was a beautiful experience. The food was, for me, the highlight. It certainly wasn't your average dining experience and I feel the restaurant offers diners something really special. I had the raw tuna with avocado ice cream as a starter. The flavours were beautiful. For the main, I... More

Our hotel, The Merrion (see that review), recommended this restaurant. Only a few patrons were there on our arrival around 1930. Pleasant setting in an older building across from St. Stephen's Park. Unfortunately a large business group arrived and were seated close to us; so much for the quiet evening. Our waiter was prompt and knowledgeable about the menu. He... More

Nothing went well with this meal. They served our wine before our cocktails. Immediately after getting our cocktails, they brought the first course. So, they took the appetizers back only to have them sit under a heat lamp. Not good for my of them especially the beef carpaccio, Which by that point, was brown. My fish pie was not good... More

My wife and I spent a saturday afternoon tasting oysters from Galway, Carlinford, etc and some albarino white wine. They have a bar counter inside the restaurant and yopu could taste there some oysters. We thought that their staff were helpful and well educated on oysters, we would come back. A bit pricey thats all, but great place.

We were taken here for lunch by two seasoned Dubliners - and we will always be grateful. This was a beautiful experience - the restored Georgian interior enhancing well designed meals that all of us enjoyed thoroughly. It is my idea of fine dining with friends that becomes the best of memories of time and place. Linger longer and it... More
