We chose this restaurant a bit by chance during a weekend in Dublin and frankly no regrets. This restaurant really looks like what you imagine when you think of Ireland.... The decor is really nice and we ate very well for about 30 euros per person (a Guinness, a dish and a coffee)... Irish stew and slow cooked beef were a killing... Around us, some tourists but also many locals which I think is a guarantee of quality. The staff was great too:)

You are always a little apprehensive when you eat in the middle of a tourist hot spot and to be honest we hadn’t intended to eat in Temple bar. But I was very hungry and we ended up here. Reception was friendly as were all the staff. We were shown to a very small table in a packed dinning room and my suspicion was up. Reading the briars menu I was excited by the options but not the prices. But this is the heart of tourist town. We order started and mains The food was quick and bloody loverly! My partner proclaimed she had the best mussels she had ever had, which frankly shocked me and my Irish stew was amazing. Tight dining room, attentive staff, really good food, very generous portions and a bill that wasn’t cheep but I was very happy to pay. Eat here!

A good restaurant to enjoy specialities like Cottage Pie or other typical dishes. The quantities are generous and delicious. The service is fast and the waiters are very caring. Counting about 22€ per dish, we were 4 and with drinks and desserts we paid 127€. The place is very nice, traditional decor but there was a lot of noise, the tables are very tight, a bit crowded like sardines.

I was disappointed with the service. The waiter told us that we "must" order all of our food in advance, which we did. After seeing the size of my entrance ( a huge bowl of clam chowder soup), I politely asked the waiter if he could cancel my main course ( seafood pasta), since I knew I was going to be full after the soup. To my surprise, I was told they could NOT cancel my order, even though it was not brought up to the table yet. 15 min later, the food arrived, and I immediately asked for a "to-go" box since I was already full and was not going to eat it. I paid the bill and gave the food to the first homeless person I saw on the street. I have worked in the restaurant industry in the past, and I have never seen such a policy. Clients should not be forced to order something when they are not ready to, much worse, not being able to cancel it if they change their mind or are not satisfied. It's such a great restaurant with ridiculous policies.

In the Temple Bar area is one of the many pubs with live music you come across. The menu is a little more extensive than the city's classic pubs. The portions are very plentiful and we found excellent both the fish soup with stewed mussels apart, and the typical Irish lamb stew. We found the beers/cider a bit too expensive, otherwise in line with the costs of the center. Fast and friendly service. Recommended!

For the good points I would say the decoration which is very nice without much extra, the dish which is not too bad even if it is supposed to be typical Irish... We were literally served a beef Bourguignon... Otherwise side service is a disaster "in summer at least" we are asked if we have finished eating 24/7 it's going around in every direction. The servers are not the best level of friendliness but I understand them with the workload... Do not recommend in summer, to see otherwise during the year!

Good place for families with children in Temple Bar for two reasons: 1) it has a children's menu 2) it is a restaurant and therefore there is no pub music which can be too loud for children. Decent quality of food (I ate both salmon fillet and salmon and prawns) with super quick service. Negative note about the drinks: the price is not specified on the menu and I paid 9.20 euros for an average beer and 5.75 euros for water...

Very solid traditional Irish restaurant with only authentic dishes. The restaurant is completely above the bar and both are located on Temple Bar Square in the heart of vibrant Dublin. Many people also in the business for one day a week and certainly also many locals. We chose Freshly Steamed Mussels and a Creamy Seafood Chowder Soup as a starter. Main courses were then The Famous Dublin Coddle and a Traditional Irish Stew. Everything was found extremely tasty. Service was excellent and friendly, a well-run business that are used to serving many people.

Long wait for a table. You have to order at least one main dish per person. Prices are not cheap but not so tasty. The waitress said about 50% discount for main dishes but there was full price in the bill

The restaurant in 1. Floor of a typical Irish pub on the edge of the Temple Bar district is a very quaint and original restaurant with eruier good selection of different dishes, including Irish specialties. The service team was super friendly, communicative and very fast. And after eating out, the ground floor pub with live music is a good place for a dip.

In the middle of Saturday evening, around 7:00 p.m., happy to have found this hostel. Very welcoming and smiling. A simple menu with Irish specialties. A pleasant atmosphere, but not too noisy for a meal with discussion. The dishes are copious, very good, served hot and quickly. I recommend the Irish specialties which are at the top. A point of vigilance the invoice is presented without VAT and tips for the service, we why the welcome was very warm.

We arrived at this pub around 6.30pm, curious to taste typical Irish dishes. Even though we hadn't booked and it was a peak time for dinner, they immediately seated us and, within a short time, they took our orders and served us food and drinks. The portions were generous, the dishes very good and tasty, all accompanied by excellent local beer, respectively a Guinness and a Harp (the latter chosen on the waiter's recommendation). The service was impeccable, the waiters were very kind and helpful. We will definitely be back!!!

We went to this place with a friend on a Saturday evening. As soon as we arrived they made us sit at the counter, warning us that we would have to wait 15/20 minutes, even though in reality they made us sit earlier. The dishes were excellent, especially the fish soup! Good selection of beers, many of which are Irish. Very friendly staff and fast service! Definitely recommended!

I normally avoid restaurants touting for business but we gave The Quays a go and were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. We had the Cottage pie, Irish stew and smoked salmon and prawns. All we’re very good: good portions, quickly served even though the place was packed. Service was friendly, fast and spot on. Price-wise at 30 Euros per head with drinks and tip, it was very reasonable. Definitely recommend.

I went with my wife and stayed overnight and looked for somewhere to eat. We wanted somewhere that had authentic Irish cooking and was tasty to boot. We decided on the Quays and although it seemed a bit strange to begin with as regards getting a table-however the food and the service were spot on. I had a lamb shank and my wife had the mussels and crap chowder and they were really tasty and filling, The service was good and we had drinks as well. For Dublin it seemed reasonable and I would recommend anyone to go if there if they are in the area
