We just went there for drinks in the evening. It was busy because of the football but we got served quickly by the crew of friendly and efficient staff. The place has a really nice atmosphere, good value drinks, and they make a nice cocktail too

We booked the room upstairs for our christening and had a great day. The food was beautiful and very reasonable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and decorated the room lovely. Bernie was extremely efficient and couldn't have been more helpful. The only small negative comment I would have was there was a slight smell of drains, that said it was... More

We did not eat here but just stopped in for a Guiness. The bar side (to the left as you walk in) is snug and cosy. It was a nice spot for a drink and to listen to locals chatting at the bar. Friendly service. Easy walking distance from the Skylon Hotel.

Despite the shock on my ladies face, its still a pub and all the barstaff more than capable of a good welcome, sound product knowledge and able to reflect on its past glories, eventually the shock receded as modern isnt all bad i.e clean, respectful etc.

We thoroughly enjoyed the roast rib of beef and roast chicken. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that we could split the bill 4 ways. This was the very first time in 6 days in the Dublin area. We highly recommend the Cat and Cage.

Went to Cat and Cage this evening. As my parents and grand parents did before me. Enjoyed the music. My friend and I decided we would have another drink. But when I ordered at 12.45 I was informed the bar was closed. Fair enough. But 25 minutes later a customer ordered drinks and was told to go into bar where... More

Popped in here for evening meal. Our hotel was nearby. We were offered some fancy breads and dips which were lovely. Our meals were lovely, best ive had in a pub yet.It looked freshly prepared, not your warmed up rubbish you get in a harvester or a wetherspoons.

Used to go here every time I go to Dublin,so I was shocked at what has been done, completely stripped of it old characters, just a corporate pub, sterile and sad.drinks were still good but sad to see a place where I had great memories gone, will not be back again😓

I was in this place a couple of nights ago, it has always been a popular drinking spot with locals. I had heard this place had changed hands and that it had much improved, only seems to have changed its menu and redecorated inside, otherwise the place is exactly the same as the last time I was there, I would...
