Came across this hidden gem of a restaurant as were travelling through Donegal for the day. Food is excellent with local produce which is so fresh you can definitely tell. Staff are the loveliest you will ever meet. They took the time to talk to us and give us some local information. Our lunch dinner experience definitely made our weekend... More

Food is delicious and the service was excellent, but €115 for 2 mains and 1 dessert and 1 coffee is very steep! We weren't hungry enough for the 4 course deal.. Worth eating in the bar if you just want a main.

My wife and I had a 40euro voucher to use in this hotel restaraunt. The full 4x course dinner is a set price of 55 euro per person with steaks and sides costing extra. So its not cheap, however the discount voucher does ease the blow It is also nice to be asked where we wanted to sit rather than... More

We ate at Cedars Grill during our stay at Lough Eske. We were quite disappointed with the whole experience especially considering the size of the bill. We were kept waiting to be seated for 15 minutes despite having booked and for no apparent reason. The waiter looking after us seemed very agitated and her English wasn't great but she was... More

This was my second visit to Cedars and I was not disappointed. You are warmly greeted by friendly staff and looked after as if you were dining at their home. There is a good range of meat and fish options on the menu which are very well cooked. The Donegal Oysters were just out of the sea and the Fillet... More

We ate here during our stay in the hotel. The Cesars Salad was ok but there was not much parmesan over it, the chowder also correct but could have been a bit hotter. We were told that the meal dishes were very good but 3 of us had fish and they really liked it whereas my fillet was just about... More

Excellent food and warm welcoming service, it slowed a bit towards the end as the restaurant got busier but still very attentive.

We dined here as we were staying in the Castle overnight. The décor is lovely, the staff are friendly and professional. The meal was extremely good, they brought out a small appetiser which they said was compliments of the chef, which was a nice touch. Then later between courses they came over and said that the chef suggested a sorbet... More

We visited this restaurant on a busy friday evening. The first thing we noticed was the effort by all members of the staff to provide a very high standard of service to all guests. The restaurant is visited by guests of the hotel but also by people who just want to dine in a good restaurant. All members of staff... More
