On business this morning in Donegal town decided to pop in here for some breakfast. What a fabulous place. Beautiful freshly cooked poached eggs and bacon with gluten free bread. Topped up coffee as many times as you wanted. Very friendly professional staff. Unbelievable value for money. Will certainly be back. Well done!!!

I have to admit I see the Blueberry as my second home - I am a very frequent customer. But the reason being is that it never fails to deliver fresh , homemade delicious food . The menu caters for all and if you want something other than in the menu they will do their upmost to accommodate your request . The staff are warm , friendly and efficient and the owner’s ethos of kindness and generosity is evident from their staff . Great stop !

Excellent food and great service. Never made us feel rushed after we finished our meals. Even though people were waiting to eat the owner made sure that we got refills on our tea and coffee. Great service, and one of the reasons why we visit anytime we are in donegal Town. Could not recommend this place enough

Nipped in for some lunch to keep us filled up for our 2hour plus journey home. The home cooked food was just the delicious warm meal we needed. It certainly hit the spot. The staff are so nice. If your in Donegal town give this place a go. An the social distancing practices were top notch. Plastic dividers between the tables an hand gel upon entering. Great.

Ate here several times during our stay in Donegal town - the staff were so friendly and accommodating when ordering our food it was such a delight. We ate here mainly for breakfasts but noted that if we were in the town for lunch or a snack that we would come back. They had a great breakfast menu and the coffee was really good - just what you need to jump start the day. I was even talked into a chocolate steamed pudding for after my breakfast (I was on holidays so why not have a desert after your breakfast) I am so glad that I did, it was delicious. A definite highlight to our stay in Donegal

We had scones and cream and coffees. The waiter who served us was very friendly, however I can’t believe that this is the best rated cafe in Donegal town - the raspberry scones were heavy and doughy with only one raspberry to be found in each. The cappuccino was served too hot. The front door of the cafe was dirty and needed a paint and the inside of the cafe was a bit grubby. We had tried to go to this cafe the day before but the queue was too long - not sure what the attraction of the cafe is. Overall we thought this cafe was very over rated on trip advisor and we’ll be trying somewhere else next time in Donegal.

I ordered food today from the blueberry over the phone for collection and it was amazing. Food was waiting for me when I arrived (still hot) I then ordered coffees and desert to go with me also. Service was quick and efficient, glad to see local businesses starting to open up again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I visit mostly at lunchtime and everyone who works here are just like family and the Boss himself Brian. From the bowl of morning porridge to lunchtime their daily lunches are unbeatable unlike other places anywhere else. It’s the only Bowl of soup that contains the ingredients that you expect. Whether it’s their vegetable soup it’s Chuck full of good hearty vegetables from carrots, parsnips, turnip, potatoes and more. Had the thick tomato soup last week and it wasn’t watered down but thick and tasty. Their main dishes never fail to get my appetite and the aroma! but I’m always leaving place for dessert as that apple tart is the way I like it best. Tart yum 😋

Me, my friend and our sons had breakfast here this morning. It was such an enjoyable experience. The owner and staff were so super friendly and couldn't have done more to make sure everything was perfect for us, anticipating our every need. Before quite finishing our 1st cup of coffee, they were out to top us up with another fresh brew, and bringing the boys more maple syrup for their fluffy pancakes. I had the sourdough toast with eggs, avocado and chilli flakes and it was delicious! wish I was sitting down to another plate of it now. We are already planning our next trip to Donegal and can't wait to sample more from The Bluberry's menu. Thanks again guys!.

The Hype surrounding here seems to be based loosely on Sarah Jessica Parker (actress) frequenting it when holidaying in Donegal. I say Hype because that’s what it was to me, it’s really busy, small, awkward and I’m sure to the Covidites that live among us a living hell!! On several occasions I was bumped, elbowed and shunted and that was just the waitresses!! At one point had to manoeuvre out of the way so a pram could leave, who thought bringing a fully opened pram in here was a good idea in the first place!! Again went for my old favourite Salmon and Prawn Open Sandwich and my wife for toasted sandwich. Oh dear, my open sandwich was more garnish than substance and laid on top was one thick piece of wheaten bread with about 5-6 prawns a couple slices of salmon and a lemon and chive mayo!! Yes lemon and chive mayo, it was ok but normally you get something resembling a Marie Rose style sauce, I guess the chef was trying something different, chef, please don’t. My wife’s toasties came out cut into small afternoon tea style triangle sandwiches held together with an 8” wooden skewer stabbed through the middle and standard sized chips poured on to the plate surrounding it. The only saving grace of the whole meal, those chips were good!! By the end my wife’s plate looked a bread graveyard, in her words ‘All bread no baboom’ In summary a real let down, had heard so many good reports from here, maybe we ordered the wrong lunch who knows, but to do it right it all needs to be right and this sadly wasn’t My advice, dodge the queue and walk another 20ft to the Olde Castle Bar.

Hearty menu with delightful variety. We started with scones, the white chocolate raspberry topping was divine. Then hearty breakfast getting us ready for a day of site seeing. Great place to start the day.

We were walking around Donegal town looking for a place to eat, after a quick tour of the castle nearby, and found some seating at the Blueberry Tea Room. It's a busy place with tables/chairs packed tightly, staff buzzing about with trays of food/drinks and customers banging into each others chairs as they found their seats or stepped out to leave. Their menu is a healthy mix of salads, soups, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, etc. and wide selection of cakes/muffins. We picked the Cajun spiced chicken wrap and a salad for our meal. First thing we noticed is that their portion sizes are quite generous, so we could have done with just one main between the two of us. Most mains come with some sides, either a small salad or chips or something like that. I noticed this on the other tables as well. Some of the sandwiches I wouldn't have finished it by myself. So go there with a healthy appetite. The food was quite well done, with the well done chicken and the spices leaving a good after-kick in your palate. I tried but couldn't stop eating the chips. The service was prompt and mindful, with more than one person checking in on us to make sure we were being taken care of. Overall, it's a place I'd recommend to visit for a good meal, if you are in Donegal.

An excellent little gem of a cafe / restaurant so glad we popped in after a great visit to the castle. The service was excellent they went to special lengths to cater for a special dietary requirement. Portions of the delicious chowder was so filling that sadly we didn’t have room for the excellent array of cakes and sweet yummy things. Def worth a visit !!

Cute little cafe in Donegal centre. Went there 2 times on our trip. The raspberry white chocolate scones are amazing and we returned for more. So light and fluffy. Service was quick and very friendly. The patio is lovely in the morning. The breakfast options are solid. The only fault was the pancakes weren't as fresh as everything else as they seem like they're put in the oven to keep heated instead of made to order. Would definitely return, however!
