This was the perfect place to share a pint on a rainy Friday evening. The bartender and all of the patrons were super friendly and made us feel right at home. The pub itself is very cozy with a nice fireplace to help with the atmosphere. The beer was plentiful! We will definitely be back!

We visited on Wednesday the 7th of December. We were greated by a delightful waitress, to took our drinks order and food order. The place was busy, but the service was good. We did not have to wait very long for our food to arrive, and the food was DELICIOUS! My friend and I both had the fish of the... More

This charming cosy pub and restaurant is located just off the diamond in the seaside town of Donegal, just opposite Donegal Castle. The landmarked building beckons you with it’s quaint leaded glass windows, and when we stepped over the threshold on a chilly night we were greeted with a lovely roaring fire and of course the normal warm Irish hospitality.... First steak was inedible, returned it untouched. Half hour later when the rest of my party had eaten, second steak was no better. No apology. Went home hungry. Never set foot in there again.

We was staying in a hotel down the road and read good things about this place. Went for the fish pie and it was cooked to perfection. Can not wait to go back!.

The Reel Inn Bar recommended The Olde Castle Bar. This place was very charming with great atmosphere and good service. The lamb stew was delicious - nice and tender and very filling. A great way to end the rainy day. Stop here any time you're visiting Donegal.
