Loved the atmosphere and old world charm of the building. Staff were great and food as usual was delicious.

Spent a very enjoyable afternoon at the Castle watching Andy Murray win the Wimbledon final on a rainy afternoon in Donegal! We enjoyed drinks and then a delicious meal. We would definitely recommend the mussels and the fish and chips.

A great atmosphere for drink or something to eat. Had fish pie which was delicious as was hubby's chicken pasta dish. Very friendly staff but suggest you book up ahead of arriving. Great place for the first pint of Guinness!

Went to Olde Castle Bar for some dinner and a few drinks after football. Had no intentions of going but we were glad we did. Food was next to none and service was pleasant. A real homely feel to the restaurant. I have no problem recommending this place!

Donegal has a big number of pubs, but the majority would not be worth a second visit. The Olde Castle is quite distinctive. It has a genuine 'feel' that is associated with the best Irish pubs. A friendly welcome and a series of 'snugs' makes for an enjoyable visit. We would be happy to visit again.

We hadn't planned to go here for dinner but I'm so glad we called in. The food was delicious, home made and full of flavour. I ordered the venison pie and the meat was so well cooked it just fell apart.
