Just returned from a weekend in danny minnies, went to celebrate our anniversary with friends. We have been here several times over the years but this was a first for our friends. The rooms have been refurbished and are stunning. Olde worldie and comfortable. Shiela made us a very welcome tea and scones served by the fireside and our great... More

I ate here recently with my wife and neither of us could fault a thing. Every course was pretty much perfection, the highlight for me was my venison sausage and black pudding salad, perfection. My wife had the duck pate to start and she said it was the best ever. Lovely setting and the staff were so helpful and pleasant.

This is such a beautiful restaurant to dine in and one is made to feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment you enter. The decor is mostly oak paneling with stain glass here and there and its subtly lit with soft lighting and the use of many candles throughout. Service on the night we dined was second to none, a... The whole experience of eating here was excellent from the very start. When we arrived we were shown into the bar where we sat in front of the fire with a glass of wine and a little hors d'oeuvre browsing the menu (there's a separate vegetarian menu for those who might need it). The we were shown to our table... More

We were two couples out for a special 50th birthday ... we had a pre-dinner drink in the bar and then went into the dining room. Simply stunningly gorgeous! The menu was full of temptation but I went for the DD for starters and then the DD for the main. Actually it was the Donegal trio consisting of crab pate,... More

We were lucky to stumble upon this little gem while touring around a very wet cold day in Donegal, We were cold wet and hungry and when we pulled up outside this place I thought it was closed, my husband went to check. I didn't expect much to be honest, but my goodness did I get a suprise. It is... More

Visited here on a number of occassions. Menu is quite tired needs an update, heat is unreal in the restaurent. Our server forgot we were there after our main course and proceeded to admire herself in the mirror instead. Had to ask 3 times to see the desert menu and had to ask for our order to be taken. poor... More

My friend and I had dinner here and loved the quirky décor, the table settings and the general ambience. I had the goats cheese starter and the lamb for main - both generously portioned and excellent. My friend started with scallops (a little sparse at only 3) and the turbot, which was not quite as mouthwatering as the lamb but... More
