This restaurant is always busy so instead of waiting for a table we settled in at the bar for a light meal both nights we were in town. The bartenders were all friendly and extremely efficient; there is a nice ambiance about the place. Both nights we ordered wine and appetizers. The first night we had the bread with 3 dips,... More

I came in for a quick lunch before a business meeting, absolutely delicious, cod salad, with a real chili kick in the pickled cucumber, with a cup of sweet potato soup. I felt great all afternoon, good service too

Sign of a good eatery is having to wait for a table......but not too long! Located next to elbow lane (sister restaurant) market lane provides a great location to eat and enjoy a meal. Busy when we arrived but within 45mins we'd been seated (will ring you when table is ready meaning you can go and enjoy a beer at... More

We had a great experience at Market Lane. The food is delicious, yet still is local cuisine. And the location couldn't better!

Several times a year my husband and I journey to Cork on shopping excursions to Debenhams, Brown Thomas, the English Market, Hickeys, Dunnes and more. After the hubbub of the stores we retreat to this oasis for lunch and drinks and it never disappoints with its solid comfort food and amiable atmosphere and staff.

The food we had was delicious and the ginger creme brûlée was the nicest thing I ate on our trip. Would definitely recommend getting a table upstairs if you can because it was very noisy downstairs but otherwise superb.

Grab the early bird menu from 5-7pm. For €23 each we had an excellent three course meal plus coffee. Be warned: there's a lot of food on the main plate.

5 stars for being what it's supposed to be: friendly, good food, chatty staff, plenty of buzz and great atmosphere. Certainly wasn't stuck for customers.
