This place was exactly what we were looking for after several days of full Irish breakfasts... All I wanted was a good glass of wine and some small plates (such an American) and this place delivered. We sat at the bar and the bartender was busy but very engaging. We would definitely recommend it.

Lovely little place with tapas bar at front and traditional food in restaurant at back. We were lucky to get the last table and it was obvious why it was so busy from the start. Friendly reception, good food with bags of flavour and originality.

Great ambiance, very friendly and efficient staff with really good food! Choice of A la Carte or Sun to Thurs €24 for a 2 course menu, definitely recommend any of the starters on the 2 course and the Hake was superb! Only little thing was that everyoine at the table thought desserts were too pricey at €7.50. Would definitely recommend... More

I was a guest at this restaurant for a work-related dinner. The ambiance, hospitality, food and drink were superb - it was very relaxed but of uniform quality.

This is a special space. As it turned out with our two starters each instead of a starter and a main, we chose wisely. 3 out of the 4 were simply gorgeous, the 4th was a good OK. What wasn't OK was the obvious infestation of tiny flies on the walls around our table. We eventually insisted on being moved... More

Had a fabulous night with family in Jacques. 8 oz steak on early bird was described as the best ever. I had the fish dish (hake). It has to be the nicest fish dish I have ever had. The waitress was very friendly. Overall a great experience. Can't wait to return .

This is easily among the best reataurants in Cork - fantastic food, service and ambience. My wife and I visited on a busy night; yet the staff were hospitable and knowledgeable. I had steak (cooked exactly to order) and my wife had hake in boulilabaisse, This was after a wonderful smoked mackerel starter. This is a good step above most... More

We chose 8 oz rib-eye steak from the early dinner special menu. The steak was very tasty and prepared as ordered . Overall we were please with the meal . There was a 5E up-charge which had been disclosed but we had overlooked. Portion size would not have satisfied young hungry men. Service, presentation of the cuisine and ambiance were... More
