Well with a try and in a great location within walking distance from most of the city centre. The menu is limited but it satisfied the four of us. Food was great quality, the atmosphere was great, the service was excellent and all reasonably priced. Would return tomorrow if I was in the city.

It was definitely a great experience, more than what we expected looking at the exterior and interior of the restaurant. Food was great and we all had a really nice time. Staff was extremely helpful.

Stumbled across this authentic little restaurant by chance, and what a find! Great atmosphere, welcoming staff who were both attentive and discreet, and an innovative menu. We had the hake special, which was simply done, and perfectly cooked, with an array of fresh and interesting accompanying vegetables. Although not planning on afters, we were curious at the reference to a... More

Came here on a Saturday in June for a birthday meal. We were the only ones there most of the time which is a great shame as the food and service is excellent. The menu had some nice unusual twists in it (my fish mousse starter was a sheer delight). While a choice of just 4 or 5 main courses... More

The brown bread was excellent. We ordered the seafood platter between the two of us for starter, which was served on a slate platter, and we were forced to use our side plates as no other ones were provided. The deep fried croquettes were nice as was the battered hake but the house cured salmon was ordinary smoked salmon with not even a... More

I had a meal here twice within a few weeks and on each occasion had a lovely meal. The first visit was with another couple and the second was a family occasion. The food was really good on each occasion. The selection wasn't extensive but most people were happy with their choices. The service was very good, not fawning but... More

As a fan of their main menu I decided to visit for weekend breakfast. Only average - had pancakes and bacon with syrup, all served on a cold plate. The pancakes were very dry and overcooked which probably didn't help with taste. If served on a hot plate they might have stayed warmer longer. Great service and nice relaxing atmosphere... More

To start, there was a depressing interior which really let the restaurant down to begin with. This was not helped by being denied a very basic request, i.e potatoes with bacon and cabbage. A person at our table asked would potatoes be included with the traditional 'Bacon and Cabbage'. To our shock, the waiter wasn't sure and said he would... More

Just returned from a fantastic evening in the Fenn's Quay, the blade of beef was to die for and colleagues felt the same about the bacon shoulder. Good selection of craft beers on offer. All served by some really attentive and friendly frond of house staff. All in all a great customer experience .... which coming from a Yorkshireman is... More

What a find! The menu is funky & uses fresh local produce - some traditional with a modern twist. Pricing is unbelievably good for a restaurant of this caliber! From the home made Irish soda bread, to the innovative desserts - I had trouble deciding what to order. They will even do 1/2 size main courses at 1/2 price if... More
