The breakfast in the Crawford Gallery Cafe is first class. There's a good selection of dishes and they are expertly cooked with service to match. The dining room is comfortable and it obviously enjoys good support from diners. The only drawback is the location of the rest rooms two floors above the cafe although there is an elevator.

Art galleries are generally located in nice buildings in attractive areas and the Crawford in Cork is no exception. As a rule of thumb Gallery restaurants are often of a high standard and are just very pleasant places to frequent. This one has served Cork well for generations and like a fine wine it seems to improve with age. The... More

Set in Cork's old Custom House in a back room of the gallery, this café serves the best of traditional Irish food using local ingredients. At noon I went in for a brunch/early lunch and got devilled kidneys on toast with a pot of tea. To my great pleasure the tea was made with real leaves....not some overpriced hipster tea... More

Went there for tea after visiting the gallery. Asked the waitress jokingly for Barrys best loose tea. Surprise a fine pot of Barrys best landed on our table. Could not be beaten.

A very useful location in the centre of Cork. The 'brown bread' is delicious but it is one of my favourite things in Ireland. Had a delicious beef stew and mash and my better half raved about her crab pasta. Cakes are a treat, had cake rather than dessert! Great value and friendly service. Likely to be the regular lunch... Staff were really friendly and welcoming making it a pleasant place to stop for lunch. What I really enjoyed was that all the food was fresh, healthy and wholesome. I cab highly recommend the spinach and mushroom pancake. Child friendly and centrally located, great place to enjoy good food with nice company!

We enjoyed our lunch - we both ordered the soup and sandwich combo. The soup was delicious. The side of various pickles was delicious---could have made of meal of these. Loved the brown hearty bread. The tea was so delightful I asked what they used that then promptly bought some to take home (at the supermarket). Their cakes looked yummy... More

Beautifully cooked full Irish breakfast. Wonderful atmosphere. Even nicer than Liberty Grill. Return here time and again.
