We enjoyed out breakfast at Tara’s Tea Room, a short walk from our hotel (Hotel Issacs). Very charming interior and delicious menu. Terrific service, too.

We enjoyed this little place very much! It was very quaint with sweet decor and teas and tea things for purchase. The special touches of the unique serveware made it a special experience!

Eggs Royale is one of the great classic menu items and this quintessential breakfast or brunch dish is always and ever a treat. The smoked salmon pairs beautifully with the velvety smooth hollandaise sauce and when the eggs are poached properly the end result is...vintage dining out. Dix sur Dix to the kitchen staff here, they got it just right and elevated a 'simple' dish to something an accomplished DIY home chef could rarely hope to achieve. But the lovely guy took my number and said he would call me when a table of 4 available. 30mins later, sure enough he called and we returned. I've been here a few times here over the last year. Beautiful homely decor (some chairs can do with better seating surfaces) and a good nutritious menu with value-for-money. Especially, one of the only good places left that serves all-day breakfast in the city (Cork...& Fork (Comix) used to be my go-to until they recently hiked prices and stopped serving all-day breakfast). Please do visit at least once and preferably on days when the owner is/are in, (they offer good customer service unlike a couple of serving staff). A wide selection of cosy seating areas to choose from and I love admiring the wall art of teacups and saucers and the terrariums on display. A small nook for the book lovers at the back. Pretty, well-mantained and cute bathroom. A great place for meeting with friends and is very family-friendly.More

Visited this morning to get breakfast for the family. The food was delicious and very well priced. My son had the pancakes and they added some complimentary granola as he couldn’t decide. Whilst on a day trip to Cork, we looked up places we could have afternoon tea and this was the first one that came up and it was easy to see why its clearly so popular: the staff were very lovely and friendly and the...afternoon tea we had was really nice and good value.
