We visited for dinner, and were impressed by the variety available. Whilst we were sitting, groups of friends and couples were having a spot of tea, drinks, and meals - the informal situation added a real home feel. The portion sizes were perfect (the lasagne was huge) and the food was really tasty.

I visited Uncle Pete's with a group of friends during a weekend to Cork. The food was of really good quality and the extensive menu meant we could all order something we really fancied; from burgers to pizza and pasta. I was super impressed the pizza dough and pasta is all home made, except for the gluten free, which I... More

Frequent here for lunch quite a lot and as I was too happy with what I ordered at first visit, I've never tried anything else. The Taco baguette; satisfies my hunger on a busy day. The interior is somewhat drab and claustrophobic but I come for the food and nothing else. Sometimes, that is really all that matters.

I have eaten in uncle Petes loads of time and I found the pizzas and pastas to be the best I have eaten. The gluten free options great. The staff are very polite and friendly, the restaurant is light and clean and not as dull and dreary as some other restaurants I have eaten in. I would recommend it to... More

Nice little pizza joint in the heart of Cork. They were incredibly accommodating and informed about the options for my wife who has celiac. I had pizza with black and white pudding and a salad with sardines and olives, while my wife had garlic bread and pizza with fresh mozzarella and basil. Everything was delicious and the service was great.... More

If a restaurant has a takeaway/delivery in the same building making the same stuff what is it? A takeaway but on a plate. On a plus the staff are friendly. If your going go there that would be the only reason, besides that you're just getting four star pizza on a plate. Saw the owner say everything is homemade in... More

Thanks for the comments, I will pass on the positive words to the staff. However let me clarify a few things with the rest of your review. Uncle Pete's has been serving freshly made pizzas in Cork city since 2003 and the restaurant has been going since 2012. This year we moved our delivery shop from Popes Quay across the... More

Must agree with the general opinion of my friends, this place is going downhill as time goes on. The restaurant itself is very small (nothing wrong with that) and very shabby. That's not the bad part though. Some mad man who lacks in all forms of culinary skill has given a restaurant that seats very few people a ridiculously large... More

Thanks Jean for those comments, I wouldnt normally respond in tripadvisor but in this case it provides an opportunity to correct some misconceptions. Uncle Pete's indeed has a large menu and we spend a lot of time day and night in preparation. However what you are missing here is that we keep our base ingredients similar through out many different... More

I've got pizza here several times and it's always good. I've also had the steak baguette a few times and while it's nice I've found that the beef can be quite tough. I've only ever got takeaway so I can't comment on the service.

I frequently visit Uncle Pete's on Paul's street, their Prima Vera pizza is unparalleled in Cork. Their thin-crusted pizza bases are light and their toppings decent. You will be full but not uncomfortably so as is common with pizzas. Their menu is alternative and the quality of the beef they use in their burgers is amazing. It's a small establishment... More
