We had a delicious two course Sunday lunch here for under 50 Euros. I had chicken with a tarragon gravy. A good sized piece cooked on the bone with a tasty stuffing, crispy skin nicely seasoned and moist meat. The creamy champ (mashed potatoes with spring onions) was particularly good. It also came with a good selection of vegetables, carrots,... More

We visited this bar/restaurant recently for Sunday lunch. We made a reservation and were seated quickly when we arrived. The decor was lovely and the whole place was immaculately clean including the toilets. 3 course lunch €25 excellent value. Simple menu with about 5 choices for each course. Starter: Deep fried goats cheese on a salad of Beetroot, leaves and... More

Excellent food, good value and plenty of banter with the staff! We are going back tonight for a birthday celebration. Definitely one to sample and support in these days of dwindling rural pub/restaurants.

We ate here on Tuesday night and I felt that I needed to write another review. First off it was such a cosy atmosphere on an otherwise miserable Tuesday evening. The stove in the bar was great. I had fillet steak medium...what can I say... it was just devine..the best steak I have had in a long time. Other half... More

Yet again this pub has upped the ante. The newest addition is the fillet steak burger. This is reasonably priced at €18 but is pure heaven. It is velvet in a bun. Well done to both John & Lisa, this is a local to be proud of.

I recently came across this little hidden gem while out with family around Roberts Cove, took a wrong turn and landed outside the door. Lovely outdoor yard and walk area hidden in the background. Lovely setting. Looks recently renovated inside. The service was fantastic, staff very friendly. The restaurant is a tad formal. The menu is traditional fare (meat, spuds and... More

We have just had the most flavoursome meal I can recall in recent history. Local and fresh produce. The salmon starter was scrumptious and with a taste, fresh salad. The goat's cheese same. My wife had the beef which was like a great steak. The lamb was pulled and packed with flavour. Kids meals are good enough for me and... More

Booked a table for two at short notice and to be honest wasn't expecting anything special. Ordered a starter and to be safe opted for roast chicken for my main course, knowing that any chef can cook chicken. The first surprise was my starter of scollops and pork belly with a little dressed rocket, it had my taste receptors dancing.... More
