I love this friendly atmospheric pub, both for night out and food. Staff are brilliant, food never disappoints and there's even good music sessions some nights of the week. But it's the food I must stress. Salads are so fresh, crunchy and interesting. There a great taste to all the main meals and my coffee/dessert are a lovely way to... More

We had family in Cork visiting and went for lunch on Sunday. Service from the staff is first class. Very prompt, courteous and very accomodating. We had Bruscetta for starters, absolutely fantastic. Kids had their meals with our starters which is great. Main courses were superb. The pasta carbonara is among the best you'll ever taste. All in all a... More

We had a lovely evening watching the recent semi-finals of the Euros with Wales playing Portugal. The pub was spacious and full of character with great service.

On tour in Ireland we stopped at the So. County Pub. I was motion sick and didn't know if I would be able to eat. My friend went to the bar and let them know. The owner personally came over to me with a mild stew. He sympathized with me and let me know that he would be happy to... More

The bar is spacious and traditional. The food is not good, boring and everything that is cooked in a chip basket is way overcooked and all of it is not hand made. Staff are hit and miss. Even on a quiet night, staff are hard to come by, so lots of waiting time and they don't clear the tables enough.... More

Hi Bryno, I was very disappointed when I saw your review. We very seldom get an average response like yours, so I will reassure you that we will take your constructive points seriously. We have a number of experienced Chefs so I can't understand how your meal was overcooked. You mention that it is boring by which I presume you... More

Went in here for a couple of drinks last weekend, nice atmosphere to the place, got chatting to one of the bartenders Kev who was a delight to deal with, he recommended wings and a nice beer that complimented them perfectly. Very chatty and charismatic staff, 10/10 will most certainly be back !

Tom is an absolute delight and again was willing to assist our group with travel arrangements while in Ireland. The service & food - excellent. The music entertainment... More
