Had told them we were at the bar straight outside the restaurant!! After another few minutes we explained again that our friends are on the way!! Again... More

Called in here yesterday (Sunday ) for lunch with my family. It was all carvery and I didn't know this until we went in. I hate carvery so a bad start. I got a southern fried chicken breast with chips and veg which was only ok taste wise. My husband had roast beef with potatoes and veg. The beef was... More

In Cork for the weekend and went the bar area here to watch the two international matches with colleagues as it looked good from the outside. Real rugby pub and the place really buzzed for the game. Had food between the two games and the service was prompt; Food was plentiful and excellent. My friends had steaks which they said... More

Visited Barry's today for lunch, it's a favourite of mine so was expecting it to be good as usual. What a disappointment . I ordered the chicken breast and stuffing sandwich , it was truly awful. Sliced pan bread, one slice stale, and some kind of chicken sandwich filling, cheap and not so cheerful. There wasn't a crumb of stuffing... More

It's a bit difficult to review Barry's because the bar and restaurant are very much separate, with the former also offering food, but both are very good. On our most recent visit we had lunch in the "snug" of the bar area. A simple order of 2 toasted specials with chips, however we asked for one without ham and the... More

Four if us dined here recently, two of the dishes were good, the pasta dish was average but the paella was a bowl of sticky, spiced rice with squid and small pieces of chicken thrown in, horrible. When asked by the young waitress was I happy, I told her no, she went off to speak to someone, to no avail... More

Four of us ate there for dinner in the bar. We have been a few times. Their fish and chips are lovely. Menu could be more varied. Staff very good and friendly.
