The rest of the group got various dishes, Fish and chips, chicken curry and all were excellent. As we were eating on a Wednesday that had an option... More

Visited Barrys with a friend and got quick service at the beginning, and then it lagged and got slower as the evening wore on. (The restaurant was not crowded.) Also, the meals were inconsistent. The Paella was "unexpected" as our friend said, and the cod lacked some flavor. The salads were quite nice, however. This was not an inexpensive meal... More

I ordered the chickpea burger. It came out looking nice although it was served on packaged not fresh flat bread.on tasting, the flavour was very bad. I've actually never had a veggie burger I couldn't eat.. Until now! Everything had the taste of vinegar. It was inedible and staff didn't seem to care that id left the whole thing almost.... More

Visited Barrys last night, was so dissapointed with meal, ordered Paella, which was not cheap 17 euros, it was awful, looked like a bowl of baby food, Id say they used a packed of peas, rice was soggy mush, hardly any fish or chicken in dish, was so disappointed, service was so slow, whilst waiters were nice and friendly, after... We normally enjoy barry,s great early bird but on this occasion splashed out as we had visitors. We enjoyed the A la carte including the rib eye and the rack of lamb. The whole meal was good and our visitors said that they get nothing like it whre they live

While I wrote a poor review of my experience of Barry's Restaurant in 2014 . I recently re visited the premises and was pleasantly surprised that both the portions and quality of the food had increased and improved considerably . So it is only fair that I re write and update my comments accordingly .

We have eaten many times in Barry's but this was the worst we had experienced. We ordered fish & chips the first meal was cold the second was hot but tasteless. I would have been better going to the local chippy!! Never again.

Visited here with a friend for dinner. We reserved a table earlier that week. The wait staff were lovely. We had one guy most of our meal who was very funny. He was a winker (definitely not in a creepy way). He seemed like a person happy doing his job. I'm sorry I have forgotten his name now. Really improved... More
