This premises is full of nostalgia. Older clients will be reminded of times past when hotel bars/eateries had the old traditional ambience. Poets corner is like going back in time to a more relaxed world long since disappeared from most establishments. Lovely atmosphere and it is no wonder that it is highly popular with locals which gives it such a... More

Great way to spend our last night in Ireland! Menu here was filled with many options and we had a hard time choosing! Plenty of daily specials on the menu as well. Staff was friendly, welcoming and attentive. Wait for a table was very quick. Music began a little late for us, once again. Hard to keep up with the... More

Just come back from a fab weekend in Clare, we stayed in Ennis and visited the bar on Friday night. The atmostphere was grea, we were there at about 9/10. Lovely jamming session. Lovely irish coffees too.

Very popular with tourists and locals. Sometimes difficult to find a table but staff very helpful. Food excellent and fast. Folk sessions at set times and days.

There is a great Irish feel to this place. Very friendly wait staff. Great traditional Irish food. A plus are the nights when trad musicians show up to play.

I really wanted a Sunday roast but the specials were either chicken or fish. The chicken was a bit dry. Meal was nothing special.

It is hard to get a bad pub meal in Ireland. Here is no exception but we were also surprised by the traditional Irish Live Music, which was incredible. The bar atmosphere was buzzing. The food was above average, we have been a few times and eaten the Salmon, Pasta and Fish & Chips.

I was staying at the hotel, so this bar was a natural choice for me. I did not realise how nice the place was, till I went in. Simply lovely. Great staff! I was tired after a very long walk around the town (very picturesque), so I had an early night. If ever I go to Ennis again, I will... More
