Dined here on a 5 pm steak deal very good value for money. Lovely restaurant , staff were very friendly and attentive. Enjoyed the warm bread and smoked salmon starter. Main course 2 steaks with peppercorn sauce was delicious.

Steak was so tough it was inedible. Didn't want to wait 10 minutes for another one while my companion was struggling on with hers. Staff weren't particularly warm or welcoming and the restaurant had no atmosphere, a bit like a drafty canteen.

As per my hotel review, only had evening meal. Lovely, value for money going rate of a high street chain, nice to see a hotel being sensible with pricing for budget travellers like us. Cooked to order, perfectly done, we had mixture of chicken, beef and pork meals all perfect and saved us from having to drive out to search... More

The food used to be beautiful in this restaurant but I didn't enjoy any of my meal at all this time. It was very cold in there so we cancelled our table for the following night and ate in the bar restaurant. Unfortunately I got food poisoning with the fish so won't be eating at all there anymore.

I use this restaurant mainly to lunch with clients. I have eaten there perhaps 8 or 9 times. At a wedding I attended last year, the organisation, food, service and accommodation were definitely 5 star. As far as lunch is concerned, firstly, the staff have always been efficient, welcoming and respectful. The menu is rather predictable, however the food has... More

I have eaten here on several occasions in the past with positive experience. This time however, my experience was not good. A simple chicken burger was what my friend and I ordered once we managed to grab some attention. Presentation was lovely, and a nice thick piece of fresh chicken was sticking out of the bun. However, it was dry... More

Perfectly cooked food. Great service from friendly staff. Table D'Hote menu was extremely limited and didn't change on the second night of our stay.

I have used this place several times at different times of the day, I usually pop in for a drink or a coffee. I had a bar lunch, once, thanks but no thanks. I think the problem is that the hotel was originally built to serve the relatives of the adjacent hospital. it is therefore not a conventional hotel. These... More
