Quality small hotel 10 minutes walk from Ayr town centre. Serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner - and light snack, coffe, home baking etc throughout the day. Family friendly - good ambiance - open fires etc. Free Parking in both hotel grounds and adjacent streets.

We stayed for 2 nights, and a function lunch. Staff from front office to waiting to chamber maid absolutely. Execellent the young man in charge of the bar was absolutely excellent and went out of his way even though busy all the time to make...More

We were staying locally with friends who praised the quality of this restaurant. Six of us had a fantastic meal on the first evening so we immediately booked to return the following day. The salmon, steak, and chicken meals were cooked to perfection. The were...More

As guests at a private family event, we experienced poorly trained staff, good food, poor organisation, mistakes, broken curtain rod with sagging curtains and a large spider up in the cornicing enjoying the evening with us. Let's take the good points. Perfectly manicured gardens. Very...More

Recommended by the B&B we were staying at, this is a traditional looking hotel with good food, service and waiting staff were attentive. It had an extensive menu which seemed to cater for a variety of tastes. The wine was good quality and the per...More

The hotel is in a nice location and the décor is pleasant. The service and food quality didn't match up to this. We were kept waiting in the main hallway as our table wasn't ready, with people pushing past us. The restaurant manager seemed to...More

Another perfect stay. A warm welcome on arrival, a spacious bedroom and bathroom, and great food with perfect service. Ellisland is hard to beat on all standards and a special mention must go to all the staff, in particular Ainsley.
