After visiting the golf at Royal Troon we stopped at the Coylton Arms on the way back to Thornhill. Close to the village of Low Coylton this delightful pub gave a friendly welcome and a drink was taken outside on the table's on a perfect summer's evening before heading into the restaurant. Excellent food, fantastic efficient service from such young... More

very good sized portions and a varied menu. Staff could be a little more attentive and take your orders quicker but on the whole a good place to eat.

Fantastic food, we go there very often and always have a lovely meal . Sometime we go from work with all the girls for a Wee night out and we can be quite loud in a group but as always we get good service from the staff. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

meal with the family. staff very unorganised and clearly not trained. starters:tempura chewy, haggis & fishcakes frozen reheats, prawn Marie rose ok. Mains: cold steaks, soggy fish batter, frozen chips undercooked, madras curry was a sweet (obviously out a jar) desserts: generic cash & carry cakes available in most establishments only at £5+ per dessert. Toilets clean, car parking good.... More

Visit the Coylton arms very regularly, the food is always amazing, lamb shank being my personal favourite and the Cajun chicken tempura starter is excellent. The desserts are also to die for. The service is always good and efficient, staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to friends and family all the time.

We went because it was recommended and a journalist had apparently written that it was great. On arrival we walked into the pub by mistake - there is a separate entrance - and the reaction suggested it happens all the time; better signposting needed. It was certainly popular; full on a Thursday even though the tables were close together. The... More

The food was lovely but let down by poor and very slow service. Over two hours for two courses and served our dessert with dinner plates still on our table and no spoons.

This restaurant is a must for an extensive and very good menu. The chosen food was excellent both in terms of helping size, quality and price - well worth a visit. Multiple visits are more likely after the first one. Be sure and book ahead. Tables for 2 can be draughty on a cold day due to the absence of... More

Been to the restaurant a few times now and it is superb. The staff are really nice and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The food is tremendous we've not had one bad dish yet. We have been twice during the week for the two courses for £11.95 on a Wednesday and Thursday. and the menu is great with... More
