Found the restaurant on tripadvisor and decided to try it. Although the ambiance was a bit like a standard chain pub the staff were welcoming and attentive. The price is £5 for a typical starter, about £12 for main and just under £5 for a dessert. There is a long standing offer of 2 for one mains. We had Culin... More

The service was excellent, the food was very good and the prices were reasonable. My only complaint was that it was very noisy.

We were starving after missing lunch and were happily fed at 5 pm with friendly service of typical pub food. Service was rapid and the food was tasty--an unbelievable bargain at 2 for one for the entrees, so we enjoyed a sticky toffee pudding!

I love to visit hamishes hoose every time I get home. Love The Haggis neeps & tatties, or sausage & mash. Very good quality food for reasonable prices & 2 people eat for price of one! Brilliant. Such a warm friendly atmosphere & staff are brilliant! Well done to you all!
