It was really worth the walk to find this little gem on the banks of the river, We had a delicious evening meal and called in the next day for coffee outside on the terrace overlooking the river. Interesting menu, tasty food, friendly staff, good atmosphere.

Anyone visiting Pitlochry and crossing the river by the Edwardian footbridge will come across Port na Craig, it has been welcoming people since the 17th century. We were staying at Fonab and after some disappointing food and service in their restaurant on the first night, we chose to eat out. This had an inviting appearance when we passed during the... More

I love coming here whether relaxing in the gardens overlooking the river with a bottle of wine or eating lunch or pre theatre.

Its difficult to find a good chicken burger and handmade chips. This place has both. The chicken burger is a whole breast of chicken, cooked beautifully. The chips are hand-cut and fresh, very well cooked. This is the second visit and we enjoyed it as much this time as the last. Unfortunately this time we couldn't sit outside to enjoy... More

We booked a table for four on Saturday. Sat inside the entrance which was lovely but door kept open and allowed wasps to fly around inside. Food was a light lunch sadwiches, soup and ciabattas. Sandwiches were lovely on brown grannary bread with a good choice of fillings. Soup was also very good and well seasoned. House wine, merlot very... More

Restaurant was exceptionally busy with theatre goers and highland games attendees and staff appeared overwhelmed. We sat outside in this stunning setting, there were menus on the tables but no information on how and where to order etc so had to ask what the process was.....basically you go inside and queue up and order and pay. its also worth knowing... This is a gem of a restaurant sitting next to the theatre it tends to be very busy for the early sittings. As we were going to the theatre we had an early booking. The sign of a good restaurant is one when it is extremely busy produces high class delicious food. Great staff a welcoming environment not to be... More

we only popped in for an ice cream ( so limited review really ) on our way back to the campsite after a long walk but the staff were friendly and helpful - the outdoor seating area was nice with great views out over the river and suspension bridge ....
