always dine her when we come to pitlochry as in my opinion it is the best restaurant in then town. Love the specials and this time had the best salmon risotto ever! Don't expect a massive menu but everything is delicious. Staff and owner are the epitomy of scottish hospitality. Don;t miss it! Nothing is too much trouble for them... More

We had lunch twice and dinner once in Jan 2017. This is by far the best choice for food in Pitlochry. The venue is cosy and by the river. Must be a great location in summertime if you have the chance of a sunny day. We had smoked salmon and chicken liver pate as a starter and it was quite... More

Our third lunch visit this year, a table of four, a very suitable place for the theatre as is next to the car park. We had again soup and sandwiches at £7.50. Very good quality of sandwiches always on fresh brown bread with generous fillings. Homemade soup substantial too. Merlot and Sauvingnon very pleasants. Very good service.

Whether it was for a much needed cup of excellent coffee or a sumptuous evening meal I loved everything about Port na Craig Inn from the warm hospitality from the hostess, to the friendly greeting from the resident dogs; who barely moved but acknowledged my arrival and made me feel welcome. The atmosphere is genuinely friendly. Located on the banks... More

Arrived on time, and was directed to table, their card machine had failed but the friendly staff assured that they could take payment from our card the old way. Meal was excellent, very tasty soup and lovely home baked bread, the main course was well presented and excellent. We were completed too early for the theatre venue, and as a... More

Found this gem whilst looking for somewhere to eat near the theatre. It's open all day but serves a tea time special of 2 or 3 course meal starting at £21 per head. The food served up was excellent but the specials menu was limited and several items were served at a supplement cost which then made it a more... More

Stopped here for a hot drink after visiting the dam and fish ladder. Quaint place, lovely pot of tea, we had seven cups out of a pot of tea for tea. Reasonably priced. Sat by a window and watched the river. Food looked good, but we were not hungry, otherwise would have tried some.

We had lunch for six last Saturday. Very comfortable seating in foyer. Food was very good again with generous sandwiches and flavoursome soup. Ice cream was very good also. Service was very good indeed. Might come to stay in the bed and breakfast accommodation sometime. Beautifull setting by the river.

This is stunningly good. First of all they allow you to take your dog in and welcome him - dog biscuits were very gratefully received. The place is beautifully decorated. The welcome is very warm, service prompt and the food absolutely excellent. We had lunch and dinner there and everyone's choices were superb. Well done you!
