Great location set high above the Carse of Gowrie. The coffee is good and the cake is excellent but it's all set off by a great owner and wonderful staff. Best place in the area.

5 minutes off the A90 the Tufted Duck is part of a small antique complex. Set in stunning countryside and in a stunning building we enjoyed a superb cup of tea, cooked breakfast and the freshest eggs imaginable. Our waitress and the owner we fantastically welcoming and the food was sensational. Well worth the 5 minute detour from the A90... More

Lovely spot to stop off for some excellent food or just some tea/coffee and cake. We enjoyed a lovely couple of latte's that were accompanied by a tasty Danish and fruit scone.

Dropped in this morning for some much needed hangover curing food. Lovely building, nice cosy fire. Guy who served us (owner?) was brilliant, so friendly and chatty. Had poached eggs on toast. Eggs fresh from his own chickens, and lovely seeded bread. Good coffee too :)

We dropped into The Tufted Duck for lunch while visiting the associated Rait Antique Centre and were more than happy with the food and the service by both the proprietor and waitress. It's obviously popular locally as most of the other customers seemed to be on first name terms with the owner and where else can you have a meal... More

Well worth a visit, enjoy the scenic route, parking available right outside. A selection of homemade soups, sandwiches, breakfast items, together with cakes, teas and coffee choices. Promptly served and delicious. Enjoy the warmth of the fire and read the magazines and papers set out on antique furniture, some pieces are for sale. Relaxed atmosphere to be enjoyed with company... My Partner and I were out furniture hunting and decided to call by here on the off chance and were so glad we did. This place is a little bit of heaven surrounded by Bothy's of antiques and crafts. A lovely log burning stove much appreciated on a frosty day, a delightful hotch potch of old comfortable chairs and tables... More

This excellent cafe often looks closed from the outside. The main entrance looks like it is one to one of the antiques places. Once inside, a good fire (in winter) greets you; a board shows what food and drink is being served. Good prices mixed with excellent home cooked food (we had the tomato soup, I also had a wonderful... More

A converted coach barn with exposed stone walls, beams and a lovely log burning stove. We very much enjoyed home made soup and sandwiches made to order while sitting amongst period pieces of furniture. This was followed by excellent coffee and cake before we wandered around the surrounding antique studios.
