Found this place by accident. What a find! Tucked away in a back street, follow the signs. Different menu. Fabulous selection of different tastes. Great service. Excellent value for money in super surroundings. You will not be disappointed if you enjoy fine dinning. Can't wait for our next visit, if you are in the area it's a must.

We had an excellent meal, a varied seasonal menu which made choosing difficult, too many good things!. It was served in a bright and airy room by a pleasant and well trained staff. This was our first visit and certainly will not be our last.

First visit to the Roost today despite having intended to go for years. We weren't disappointed. Well balanced radicchio and goat's curd salad to start followed by Arctic char served with pommes dauphine and a seafood sauce. Pudding was generous and excellent. Service was friendly and great. Fantastic value for a Sunday lunch at this level.

We took friends here today for lunch. We have eaten here on many occasions and had no hesitation in returning as the food and service are consistently good. We were warmly welcomed and seated straight away. 2 menus were presented. One for the set lunch and the other for the a la carte menu. Very good selection on the a... More

For quality of food and service it is hard to find anywhere better than this small family run restaurant. When we visit as a couple or with a group of friends the experience is always first class. Owner & chef Tim creates amazing dishes whilst his wife Anna ensures front of house service is top rate.

The Roost never disappoints. We've eaten in several highly rated restaurants but keep coming back here. The restaurant is small & quiet (feels quiet even when full, like it was on 10/6). The food is delicate, expertly prepared & presented and always full of flavour. The sweets were very fine indeed with the added pleasure of not being too sweet.... More

What a wonderful meal we had at the Roost last week. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Goats curd amuse booshe was brought to the table, then fresh bread, both light and lovely. We chose from a nice little selection of aperitifs, my partner chose the wine and she did mention the good selection available. My foie gras starter was... More

After being given a gift voucher for The Roost Restaurant for my birthday we booked for lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed each course, especially the trout and the cheesecake. Fantastic flavours and very well presented. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. I'll look forward to me next visit in the near future.

I visited The Roost with my partner for a romantic meal on Saturday night and what a treat it was. All the dishes we had were cooked to perfection, the flavours balanced beautifully and all served with a smile. One of the best restaurants I've been to and we'll definitely be back.

My husband and I went for a romantic dinner. It wasn't terrible but it certainly fell short of our expectations for a nice night out at a French restaurant. The menu was limited and quite exotic so unless you're in the mood to experiment with calf tongue or similar ingredients it might not be the place to go. We went... More

Description
Tim & Anna Dover work together at the restaurant, Anna is in charge of table service and Tim exercises his skills as Head Chef in the kitchen, and in his words..."My wife and I opened the Roost Restaurant in the village of Kintillo near Bridge of Earn, just outside Perth, in the summer of 2008. Five years on the restaurant is firmly established in the area and we are known for our extensive use of Scottish ingredients, which I prepare in the classical French style that I have learnt in kitchens at home and abroad throughout my career. We are proud of the strong relationships we have developed with Scottish food and drink suppliers and always produce a locally sourced, sustainable and seasonal menu. Our dedication doesn't end in the kitchen as we enjoy fishing and foraging for our own ingredients - including wild garlic, alexanders and chanterelles - many of which appear on the menus throughout the year. But nothing is more sustainable than our new kitchen garden that features vegetables and herbs used in the restaurant. Throughout the summer months we are able to use our own supply of herbs, salads and vegetables such as potatoes, chard, baby carrots, beetroots, leeks, broad beans and purple sprouting broccoli while flowers are also grown for the restaurant."
