Cafe Bongio is ideal for breakfast , lunch or dinner. It has a lovely menu and the food is fantastic. Even better on a sunny day when you can sit outside . Staff e lovely. Bongio is a little treasure in Inverkip and I am a regular visitor, sometimes just for a pint of Moretti- late afternoon.

Ive had several experiences of this restaurant/take away, never had chips that were not hard and grossly undercooked, inedible. Went in once for 2 beef burgers, waited precisely 23 minutes then told them to forget it, unacceptable, its supposed to be fast food, i don't care how busy they are it takes 30 second to put 2 burgers on the... Great place to have lunch en-route to Isle of Bute. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Restaurant was spotlessly clean as were toilets too. Atmosphere was quiet but not off putting!

I've been here before on a few occasions - few meaning less than five , as every time before I've been more than disappointed . The food belies the promising exterior and nice minimalist interior . They reconfigured the layout and centralised the kitchen , whereas before was concealed and to back. This leads me to first blot on the... More

Recently stopped here for a bite to eat as it seemed the only decent place around for miles! When we first entered I wasn't expecting much, seemed like a service station type of place so thought it would be nothing special. However when the food arrived I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. I had a calzone pizza and... More

Not a huge choice on the menu. Didn't want a big beef burger so thought the chicken burger might be nice. £7.25 for a Birds Eye crispy chicken portion in a toasted bap. Chip shop chips and a teeny salad on the side. In comparison The Handmade Burger Co. will serve you a huge portion of real chicken with loads... More

Surprised when we entered.... Decor is very much cafe style, bright tiled floor, with an air of breakfast rather than dinner. Very similar menu to the old Rico's, which was one of our reasons for visiting. Unfortunately the food was bland. Pizza was poor and pretty tasteless, risotto was similarly bland. Service was good, quick & efficient however wouldn't rush... More

Stopped here for breakfast. It was ok, but the place is a little bare and bland. Nice staff, and the breakfast was nice enough, but I think it could do with a bit more character. But no complaints really.

The fish is always fresh and the chips are crisp on the outside and floury in the middle. Well done, Café Bongio. There is an adequate variety of snacks and menu options.
