Back to Cawdor Tavern after several years. Fewer customers than of old, menu hadn't changed much, food was good still. Service could have been better, asked for the bill twice and waited for it for ages. Probably won't hurry back.

Having eaten here before I have to say a recent visit didn't feel up to their usual standard. We knew it was going to be busy so nobody minded waiting. The food was generally fine but not exceptional. My biggest disappointment was over the service - not that we weren't looked after, we were, but it felt distant and I... More

Situated in the small village of Cawdor and a stones throw from the Castle you will find this beautiful restaurant serving the most wonderful local fayre, we received a very warm and welcoming greeting on arrival by the entire staff and then enjoyed some very well cooked and presented dishes. Well worth a visit should you be in the area... More

We stopped in late Saturday evening on our way back from Forres. The food was amazing - definitely the best we had tasted so far on our Scotland trip.

After visiting the castle we drove into Cawdor Village and visited here for lunch. This was hands down the best meal we had during our week long stay in Nairn. The place looks lovely from the outside, its cosy inside, has a lovely menu and also does some locally brewed ales. Highly recommended.

We came here after spending a nice hour or two at cawdor castle. The meal was really delicious. Despite being fill in honestly couldn't stop eating. The pub is a typical country pub and it has a brilliant atmosphere. I would highly recommend it for a pub lunch with traditional Scottish food on the menu.

We've heard great things about this place, so we travelled out last week for a lunch for a birthday. So glad we did. Great food, service, atmosphere, lovely traditional pub in a beautiful village. Will definately return soon.
