Had a very pleasant meal here. It was quite busy despite being a Monday night. We had a nice table by the window but at this time of year it got dark shortly after we arrived. Otherwise the setting by the loch is ideal. Staff were very helpful in explaining gluten free options to my wife and we both enjoyed... More

We had the best table in the place over looking the water, but the best part was the food. Had a pleasant seat at the bar whilst we looked at the menu, with the black board specials it was difficult choosing, however, the waitress stepped in and gave us good advice, the staff were wonderful, all of them and the... My wife and I enjoyed a quiet dinner here. I had the Cod poached in milk with risotto and herb butter. The dish was mild tasting and delightful. The Cod was excellently prepared and melted in your mouth! My wife had Salmon with Creme Fraiche. The Salmon was prepared 2 ways, hot and cold servings. She loved it. Now for... More

This is a modest looking lochside restaurant. The guidebooks say nice things and it was busy the early evening we were there. It had a casual vibe, but an upscale menu and wine list. We had islay scallops and mussels as appetizers--both tasty and the bowl of mussel--in a tasty broth-- would easily feed two. Halibut and salmon followed on;... More

Great location on a small pier, a good range of fresh and imaginatively prepared fish dishes (the oysters were particularly good) and a reasonable wine list. The staff were attentive and friendly.

Was in the area with my wife and fancied a drink. Saw this place and thought it looked lovely so decided that it would be a nice place for a drink. Went in and told you must order a meal and cannot visit for just a drink - YOUR LOSS.

We were looking forward to eating here, seemed like a great location...which it is. My starter of mussels was excellent and my wifes starter of the cullen skink was ok. Both our mains, I had the salmon and she had the hake fillet were overdone and bland. The sides were really not good either. Desserts were great though. Very expensive... More

A truly enjoyable evening out with very friendly staff, and a wonderful fish based menu. I enjoyed the half lobster with mussels and my wife a beautiful plate of fresh local langoustines. An excellent evening and very good value for money in a very cosy environment

If you like seafood this is a great restaurant & if you don't there are other food options although we didn't try them as we all love seafood! Booking is essential- we were there early on Saturday evening having booked & saw many disappointed diners turned away without reservations. The food was fabulous & varied & wine choice good too....
