Good for walkers and climbers . A great hotel. Position, food, bedrooms all good. Had a wonderful night here and have already identified my room for a future visit!

We had an amazing meal - exceptionally good food, friendly and helpful staff in a unique setting made for a first class night. Completely recommend this restaurant.

Based on a recommendation from our inn keeper, we took a chance, which ended up not being a chance at all. Two of us had hake, one had venison and one had rabbit ( yes, rabbit)! It was absolutely wonderful and delicious! Would absolutely recommend Lime Tree!

Intimate restaurant cum art gallery attached to a hotel, but open to non-residents. Fabulously imaginative menu comprising approx 6 starters, 6 mains, 6 desserts and a selection of local cheeses to compose your own cheeseboard. Definitely Scottish ingredients with a French style of cooking and faultless presentation. Friendly, effective and unobtrusive staff - what more do you need? We chose... More

This is a fantastic restaurant that does not appear to be known about enough in the local area. When we were in Fort William we asked the local taxi driver for a recommendation. He did not mention this one luckily we found it on Trip Advisor. There were four of us and we each chose different starters and main courses.... More

I visited the restaurant with family and have to say that the service and food were excellent. The waiting staff were very attentive and friendly whilst also knowing when to leave us alone. The food was excellent also and the added extras such as the homemade lollypop with the coffees was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend the desserts

One has to visit the restaurant Lime Tree! We went there due to recommendation of our host of Ashburn House in Fort William. What incredible Food we got to eat, culinarily surely the Highlight of our 2 week holiday in Scotland. We highly enjoyed - Highland Cannelloni - Twice cooked belly of Duroc porc - Loch Awe River trout

Flavour and presentation second to none , locally sourced in an intimate gallery setting. At first glance wasn't sure what to order as the menu is different and unexpected , between us we tried the wasabi veloute, venison and pork dishes and each was exceptional. Some may find portions small but we found them perfect for the richness, flavour and... More

Lime Tree obviously can put together some special food and, indeed, on our visit we did enjoy a truly world-class, exceptional dessert. However I was disappointed with my Wasabi Beef Veloute which tasted great but only had 2 small pieces of beef in it which isn't really good enough for the show-piece of the dish. My main course of venison... More

Description
The food philosophy at the Lime Tree is that dishes are made here from fresh, seasonal, locally sourced raw ingredients, then made into something special by our skilled innovative Chef team

'The Lime Tree Restaurant style is one we have come to know as Fiddly Posh Scottish: Lamb with a family tree, duck that went to Gordonstoun, fish that kept its nose clean. All this technically superb, and while served in a part of the country not blessed with an abundance of fine dining, nonetheless worthy of comparison with the cities best. Fort William finally has a heavy-weight culinary destination.'
