Dinner was very expensive but we had our own private dinner room. The wines were ok, but not great. Too much salt was used...

We have already rated the restaurant in uor review of the hotel but, for those who simply want to eat her you will not be disappointed. Very high standard of service food and surroundings. Well worth a visit if you like fine food

It is almost certainly the best restaurant within a 50 miles radius. The surroundings in an old Scottish Country House is an opulent setting with perfect views. Ask for a window table to appreciate. The dining room is small and holds about thirty and there is a small family room as well. The atmosphere depends. On a good night it's... More

First of all, the dining room furniture was a gift from the king of Norway! The view is a gift from God, absolutely stunning and the food is a gift from France, and you are in a castle in Scotland. The restaurant is run by the father and son of Alert and Michel Roux, famous for their restaurants and the... More

Wonderful sandwiches - beef and horseradish, beautifully presented and the dessert was divine. Service impeccable.

We had high hopes for this venue but the experience fell short of our expectations. The drive through beautiful gardens to the stunning castle had us all excited, we were warmly welcomed and shown to an exquisite room with sensational views toward the Loch for pre dinner drinks. For me, there were just too many basic mistakes: not always serving... More

So worth the drive up to this absolutely stunning place. Sip tea in the beautiful living area. Take a walk on the grounds, enjoy a scrumptious dinner and for heavens sake, take the little boat out and view the castle from this vantage point.

We went for lunch. It is an exclusive place, an opulent baronial castle setting, exquisitely attentive service, and the most phenomenally food daintily presented and so full of flavour it was an absolute treat and a fabulous experience. It would only be a once a year treat as it is very expensive.

I thought this place was going to be cool when we pulled up and there was a Bentley parked outside. We had a cream tea and sandwiches here. The service was excellent the food excellent and the place was amazing. Could never really afford to stay here, £600 is a little much for the budget, but the place is way... More
