Beer warm and terrible. food absolute rubbish and overpriced. Chicken pie and curly chips arrived with a basket of condiments.
We had supper here and it was fabulous! Portions were hearty and the service was friendly. Would recommend the Cranachan for dessert--outstanding!
We ate in the Alehouse downstairs - anyway the food is identical in the Restaurant upstairs.The beer is really good - but food is fairly basic
After heading upstairs to the restaurant, and being told that there would be a 45-60 minute wait, we decided to head downstairs to the bar. Here we had a great feed, same menu as upstairs, at this cosy yet busy pub.

Excellent service and very adequate food and grog (good value). Nice selection of beers, basic but hearty / cost effective menu. Children / families welcomed.
