This restaurant is a firm favourite of mine. The food is lovely and is served quickly, the staff are friendly, the decor is retro! It ticks all the boxes if you want to be fed well without the fuss of a fancy pansy place!

Knowing that the Castle Street was under new ownership we were a bit worried things might have changed. Popped in tonight and can guarantee that this place is as good as ever. Think the portions were slightly bigger than before, and the steak pie and pork chops were amazing!

Like the title suggests a nice view for a relaxing drink. But, stick with the apps and leave the entre' for another place.

Like venturing back to the 1980's inside. The chips are great and its absolutely no frills. Which is what its all about. Macaroni and cheese or the Steak Pie are good. If you are on a budget and want to try some unhealthy classic food then head here!

Ate at the castle street restaurant this evening , and I must say I was disappointed indeed . Our food was cold and service was poor ! Chips were undercooked . My partners liver in the mixed grill was thick and over cooked. It's disappointing that a great restaurant has gone down hill

Was quite pleased with this restaurant good value for money. You get a huge plateful. I got the fish and chips which you get coleslaw and salad with. The batter could be better but apart from that I can't complain. Will definitely go back.

To find an place to eat with tasty food, generous Tea, comfy seating and great staff is not easy. I and my family have always headed for the Castle Restaurant when we have travelled to Inverness, since at least from the 1980's. And it is just as good as it has ever been. On the mornings of the 4th and... More

Went for dinner with my sister and she was disappointed in the taste of the fish and chips. The chips were good, but the fish was a bit soggy. however, the sticky toffee pudding with custard was fantastic! I have had this several times and this was the best.
