Excellent lunch in mustard seed, very busy even on a wet Thursday afternoon, good quality dishes served at a reasonable price. Have dined here several times before and always of good quality.

This must be the best restaurant in Inverness, very busy, turning away walk in customers. The food was exceptionally good. The service was efficient, knowledgable and with a smile. The place has a great buzz about it, the tables are well spaced apart, but still giving a cosy atmosphere, the view from the message level is down over the bar... More

I had a 'nice' meal the service was really good the staff were wonderful and attentive and friendly. The meal unfortunately sounded better on the menu than it tasted. Nothing wrong but equally nothing really good. I was a bit disappointed but then it was late and in their busy season. I do like the mustard seed and would go... More

Great staff, just wish the menu would change more frequently. Go there at least a month. Food is excellent, can't fault it. Portion just fine too. Thumbs up from me !!

Fantastic food and service, the meal was beautifully serviced and hot just enough in each course. The waitress was attentive and polite, making sure we had everything we needed.

Very welcoming. Light and airy in a converted church with two levels. The wood burner is a lovely feature. The food was excellent and a good wine list to choose from.

We stopped by without reservations. We found it common in Scotland this visit that we could have a table for an hour and a half before they would need it for another reservation. We eat earlier than most people. Our service was slow. It was a new waitress but we were fine with that. Most people who came in after... More

We managed to get a table with only a few hours notice and got a table on the first floor right by a window with fantastic views. We started with a trio of fish, small but beautifully cooked and tasted fabulous. We moved on to venison and lamb, both cooked to perfection. The wine was good and very reasonably priced.... More

A number of people prefer Rocpool to Mustard Seed. I disagree. Mustard Seed has an excellent drink selection and offers a great selection of Scottish entrees with a superb staff.

We found the restaurant not being aware of the score on trip advisor and made the reservation based on the menu. We like the atmosphere, creative dishes and attentfull service. The dishes from the early dinner menu are of such proportions that we finally could share a cheese platter as desert. Looking at the price/quality ratio this is one of... More

Description
Open since 1995, the simple cooking and warm, friendly atmosphere has allowed The Mustard Seed to become one of Inverness’s favourite restaurants. The Location on the banks of the River Ness in a converted church building is simply stunning and helps create the wonderful ambience. The transformation from disused church to restaurant created a unique space; with a double-height ceiling and magnificent open log fire. Many of the original period features were retained and combined with a mix of natural and modern finishes. The addition of the terrace on the top floor allows alfresco dining and uninterrupted views of the River, another amazing asset for the restaurant.
