The food was divine. I can not recommend the white chocolate and coconut cheesecake highly enough - it was heavenly! Loved this place and would certainly return if we come back to the area again.

Our small group went to Rocpool for dinner. The service was excellent, as was the food. We were doing a small group tour of Scotland and this was the best place for food during our entire 9 day trip. I had the venison, which was...More

To our surprise, Inverness is rife with fine, upscale restaurants. Rocpool is one of the two best--perfectly located with a great regional menu of seafood and beef, and an extensive fine wine list. Very hard to get reservations, but staff worked diligently to find us...More

The service and welcome were second to none. The food was also first class although I would have preferred chips opposed to the polenta chips That was served.

Lovely restaurant in heart of Inverness. They fit us in on a Thursday night even with a full book of reservations. Loved the food and bread. Good wine and whiskey menu as well. The service/staff was super friendly and courteous.

Although I don't live in Inverness I have eaten several times at Rocpool both for lunch and dinner and I can't find fault with the menu or the presentation and taste of the food. The staff are always helpful and friendly. If you are visiting...More

Wow! Such a warm welcome on arrival, cosy but modern atmosphere. Every member of staff was attentive and pleasant. Every course was perfectly cooked , such well thought out combinations of ingredients, each complimenting one another. Each course came very quickly whilst we didn't once...More

Many places do not accept AmEx in Scotland. I do not recall if this restaurant did or not. My advice is to make sure you have another an alternate credit card to use while in Scotland.

Description
Since it opened in 2002, Rocpool Restaurant ha become an effervescent Inverness brasserie with a loyal fan base. A cool contemporary decor with lots of bare wood and bold colours give a buzzy vibe to the restaurant which is situated in a prime site on the banks of the River Ness. The kitchen has a repotoire of eclectic modern dishes which use Scotland's matchless produce sprinkled with Mediterranean sunshine, plus a pinch of exotic spice here and there.
