You must make reservations. This is a very busy hotel. Staff the friendliest ever. Menu was varied and food was excellent. One of the best restaurants ever eaten at in Scotland. . Fine dining at its best.

Had the crab and watermelon salad starter and the monkfish and prawn main course - both delicious and inventive dishes. No one in our group was disappointed with their choice - several had the John Dory and others the steak. Our servers were very attentive and professional - everything came out at the right time and temperature. Very decent wine... More

Rocpool was recommended and it didn't disappoint. We stopped in to their early dinner w/o a reservation. They accommodated us. The service was excellent, the food fantastic, and the price reasonable for the quality. This was our splurge dinner and well worth it.

Be sure to book - both early bird and main sittings were booked out the Saturday we were there. Professional, elegant, and terrific value for the early bird menu compared with other similarly priced places in town (we had more dishes here than at Cafe One for less!) We were able to promptly order drinks on arrival, but ordering food... More

Two meat eaters and a vegetarian, thoroughly enjoyed a Tuesday night meal in a packed restaurant with a great atmosphere. Very good service, and great food and although a little problem pricey, overall it was good value for money. Courgette flowers and seafood linguine are worth a special note, and the chocolate fondant...OMG! Next time we are in Inverness, it... More

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Rocpool during our stay in Inverness. It is very hard to get in, as it is a popular higher end dining spot, so definitely make a reservation. The service and food was superb! The menu has many unusual meal choices, so make sure you read it first. They do have soup & salad for... More

Across the river from the city centre this is a gem. The menu is strong and well chosen, the service is friendly, and the advice on what to visit was excellent.

This had been recommended as the best in town and it may well be. Very busy, but we did manage to book for the pre-show slot (5.45-6.45 - rather early, but suited us on that day). Excellent food which, despite generous portions, tempted us to have dessert. Good selection of wines and beers. Good service. Although only small and full,... More

Went to the Rocpool last night, meal was fantastic. I have been to the Rocpool a few times now and had never disappointed. Staff very friendly and attentive but not too attentive. Three out of the four of us had the venison and it was excellent. Just so all aware Rocpool is not cheap but I would say value for... More

Description
Since it opened in 2002, Rocpool Restaurant ha become an effervescent Inverness brasserie with a loyal fan base. A cool contemporary decor with lots of bare wood and bold colours give a buzzy vibe to the restaurant which is situated in a prime site on the banks of the River Ness. The kitchen has a repotoire of eclectic modern dishes which use Scotland's matchless produce sprinkled with Mediterranean sunshine, plus a pinch of exotic spice here and there.
