Great food in this cozy neighborhood tavern. We ate in the upper dining room the first night and the salmon was excellent. We came back the next night, but there was a sporting event and the place was packed. We found space in the bar...More

Very popular restaurant and pub - we were there on the Sunday of a bank holiday weekend and it was very busy. We had a reservation. We saw our b and b host having dinner there, which is always a good sign. Good selection of...More

Great atmosphere and food combined with really helpful staff. Thoroughly enjoyed the Cullen Skink. Some good beers on tap as well.

We have been searching for a dependable Sunday lunch venue in Inverness consistently over the last 11 years of living here. In the past no venue has excelled particularly. That is until our recent 3 visits to the well known Castle pub. When the sun...More

We were able to snag a table outside after lurking around for a while. We came while the kitchen was backed up pretty badly so they asked us to wait about 20 minutes to order food, which was fine because we had beer and a...More

The food was quite tasteless. The courgette and smoked cheddar quiche tasted nothing but eggs and courgettes. Nice cask ales though

Castle Tavern has the advantage of being at the very end of the Great Glen Walk! At the end of that walk it's a fabulous find welcoming with great selection of drinks.

My husband and I loved this little tavern. It’s right across from Inverness castle. So you can sit outside and drink a pint while admiring the castle and the beautiful view of Inverness.

Nice place to grab a pint by the castle. Seating outside normally full and we found the inside to be very loud in the middle of the day. Drink service slow but staff friendly.
