myself and my partner ate here on the 3rd of September for our second anniversary. upon arrival we noticed it was rather busy and were thankful that we had reserved a table. Staff instantly saw to us and advised that our table would not be ready for another couple of minutes. We were offered drinks and were quickly shown to... More

After a day out sightseeing around Inverness and Loch Ness, called into the Rajah for hopefully a tasty curry. On entering the restaurant was shown to a table, the restaurant was quiet, only two or three tables occupied. My order was taken for meat samosas and lamb bhuna, pilau rice and chapatti's. The food was excellent, very tasty and good... More

We had a great Saturday dinner at The Rajah. Great authentic Indian food with friendly and helpful staff. Very reasonably priced.

Dined early so no issues with it being too small (other reviews). Service was excellent and quick. Onion bhajis and samosa to start. Both tasty. Chicken tikka karahi and lamb bhuna with pilau rice and chapatis. I had the karahi - not like a karahi I've had before but was delicious. Hot and spicy, full of flavour and lots of... More

It's been a while since I visited this Inverness institution, found it welcoming but staff not as friendly as previous visits, a bit pushy with recommendations, only recommend one and when I asked about others the waiter was not infested in discussing it. Veg samosa a bit pale and uninteresting and the sag aloo a bit dry but both curries... More

We didn't book and had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated, it was very busy. Great food and service, very friendly despite being rushed off their feet. Highly recommend

The worst Indian restaurant I have ever experienced. We should have left when we were told you cant order starters and main entries separately. Having alot of Indian friends and co-workers to have Indian foods with, it is hard to dip below 2 stars unless your a fast food joint. Where do you start on why this is bad. Chutney,... More

The Rajah was the first place where I had experienced Indian cuisine. Lucky for me it has set the standard by which all other restaurants are judged. Situated behind the post office does seem like a strange location, but as it turns out, this makes it feel like a 'local secret'. It had been some time since we visited, and... More
