This restaurant was recommended by one of my customers for me try while entertaining a colleague on the area. First impression on premises were great, location very central. Introductions very friendly by all staff. Food was good and even catered for my requests that were not on the menu. Prices were very reasonable. Only criticism would be when a sizzling... More

We ate here in November when visiting a friend. It was his recommendation and it was fairly decent. The food was good and filling. For once I couldn't manage to finish my meal and that is extremely unusual. The restaurant was quite warm though so this may have had something to do with it. The restaurant is downstairs which is... After a couple of beers I fancied a curry. The Rajah was just around the corner so seemed ideal. Most set lunch curries consist of microwaved pakora and small portions. For lunchtime this is usually ok if tasty. The Rajah however served 2 huge bhajis which were freshly made followed by a large metal bowl of lamb curry and a... More

We visit Rajah Restaurant a few times a year and it has always been very good up until now, The food was good but the seating arrangements were awful. I was sitting almost in a lady's meal, if I moved my elbow I was going to knock over her wine. I felt on edge and uneasy the whole meal which... More

After a meal with the family I felt very at home and welcomed here. The staff were lovely and a stand out waitress had to be a blonde waitress maybe 20, 30 so caring to our needs absolutely brilliant and the food was just a good would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Where do I start it was either the chefs night off or a prepackaged frozen meals. We ordered a Lamb Bhuna which was tough and tasteless & a Tandoori chicken Tikka which was dry and tough. No one came over to ask if meals where ok but on clearing the table the waiter did ask and I pointed out the... More

I'm not very good at picking Indian food so I asked the lovely blonde lady and she couldn't of been any more obliging and picked a perfect meal for me! Chicken tikka Dansak wow! Not only... More

Went for a meal on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day, both times we had a tasty starter and main meal. We can definitely recommend the lamb, very tender. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff only down side house wine but Cobra on drought - super!

Whilst the food was nice enough, sadly this is about as good as I can say. Used to be my favourite Indian restaurant but I won't be back. One of our party is allergic to garlic, so her partner (my brother) politely asked if a curry could be prepared for her but without garlic. The waitress somewhat unsympathetically refused saying...
